Middlesex Diner

Great diner food! We stopped here on a cross country trip across the U.S. and got the usual breakfast of eggs, sausage, toast, and pancakes. Savory, salty, and delicious. Way better than chain diners. Pancakes are fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, albeit a bit strong on the baking powder. Tip: their sausage gravy is amazing, get it poured all over your eggs and sausage and mop it up with the toast.

Don’t go to diner. Used to be great. They don’t care about customers anymore. Went for breakfast last week. Table not wiped. Waitress had attitude when we asked her to please wipe table. She had already put napkins on dirty table and put same ones on wet table. We left. Today we called in a pickup order My husbands was good. I was not feeling well today. I was thrilled they had potato with dumplings soap. My husband ordered a bowl and extra dumplings. I received a 1/2 cup and two dumplings Complained. They said they don’t sell extra dumplings but didn’t tell us that and refused to give us a credit. Manager said “that’s not happening”. So they would rather loose two lifetime customers than be honest. We hope many reconsider going there. Cutting costs because of Covid has made them awful to those who support them.
