Our waitress seated us quickly and was very pleasant. Portland is a city of rude horrible drivers and overpriced everything, including restaurants. Mexican food is a joke. So, this little place in West Linn is a very pleasant suprise. Food is fine. Great pies
Well prepared American food in a clean comfortable environment with excellent serving staff.
What a terrific find this West Linn location has turned out to be!
The general manager for this location is a lady named Brianna, and she is a real pistol! This is one hard-working lady with a clear sense of what her mission is and how to accomplish it. This is a no nonsense Manager who wants her customers to be 100 percent satisfied with food, service and the environment. The servers that my wife and I have encountered have been more than obliging in making sure that we had our food prepared the way we wanted it, exactly. For example, since Shari’s serves only meats that are not frozen but fresh, you can order a hamburger “rare“ and there is no problem getting it cooked the way you desire. With many restaurants, because the meat is not fresh (but frozen) they will only cook it to “well done“, I guess the reason being they don’t want diners getting ill. This certainly is not the case at this establishment. Meats are locally sourced in the Northwest and are fresh and nutrient rich. Also, when you order a hamburger the bun is fresh, buttered and toasted without you having to request this. Nice.
Pies are baked fresh daily and leftovers are not carried over to the next day. The marionberry pie is outstanding. Loaded with berries and a really nice tasting and flaky crust!
Serving sizes are generous and ingredients appeared to be well thought out and skillfully prepared. If you’d like to make a substitution or have something a little “different” just make a request through your server to the kitchen crew and in most cases your request will be granted without any fuss.
Overall, if you want well prepared and served quality American food at very reasonable prices you will be hard-pressed to find a more consistent establishment than the Shari’s in West Linn.
We had been traveling for awhile, we stopped in for some coffee and decided to have some pie. The employees were very nice and friendly. Restaurant was nice and clean. The pie was just delicious! I recommend the marionberry pie warmed up with vanilla ice cream on top!! All in all, a delightful stop on a roadtrip adventure!!!
Driving through and wanted breakfast on a Sunday morning, busy but still got the best food and service. Friendly and caring wait staff, food was definitely made with love. There was only one guy working there the rest was women, and they all sure did an amazing job, Thank you!
Excellent food. Great service. I'm a frequent visitor to many different Shari's and I would have to say that today's service was near the best. Anna was a joy.
Our food was well prepared and everyone was happy. It took a little longer as they were down a cook that night, but it didn't take an unreasonable amount of time.
Closed. Looks like it's up for sale or lease as office space. Not sure how with its distinque structure. Here's hoping Elmer's buys the space. Or maybe In N Out. Traffic is light there anyways. Ok maybe not but at least a Chick-fil-a.
Enjoy their breakfasts. Typically go in a bit after the morning rush when were looking for a larger breakfast. Seating is quick, service is good, and so is the food.
The server was friendly, the food was quick and they were very polite. Even though we finished eating just as they were closing, we never felt rushed.
Perfect for a late night grub need... even on Christmas Eve on the way back from the ER> They treated us special on a night where we really needed a smile and food. Thanks.
