It is a good mix of american and greek food style. They have delicious food and reasonable prices. I consider it one of the best gyros in the area.
This is my go-to Greek restaurant in Lafayette. Parthenon has great gyros for a really reasonable price. They're made to order and extremely filling. The Greek fries are really good and their speciality burger is pretty good if you want something somewhat resembling a gyros. The baklava is alright, but probably some of the best you'll find in the city. It's cheap food in a very relaxed atmosphere.
Pleased first-time. Dined there for first time 8/15/14 after finding Parthenon on Urbanspoon. Food was good quality and portion size was just OK for the prices. Really enjoyed the rice with spinach, the salads, pastitsio, and gyro. Great service and nice people. We'll be back when in town next.
We came in for lunch yesterday, our first visit. Had a combo plate so I could try a variety of things. Overall it was excellent. The owner was very attentive and clearly took pride in what he did. It is not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for. Which brings me to the lone issue I had, the place is set up more like a fast food restaurant, you order at the counter, they give you your beverages, napkins, and things like soup, right there on a tray. They also give you a number to put on your table, and the rest is brought out when it is ready. Would seem more appropriate to have a waiter/waitress in this price range. Overall though, great food, clean, comfortable. Will be back!
Love this Place. The Parthenon is one of my favorite restaurants in the West Lafayette/Lafayette area. The food is consistently excellent and the menu is really diverse. My favorite dish is probably the Parthenon Combo Platter, which I split with my wife. It's family owned and operated and they are extremely dedicated to making great Greek/American food!
Good Vegetarian/Vegan Options. My husband and I are local vegans and we love heading over to the Parthenon every once in awhile for falafel and hummus pitas. The falafel is delicious and the hummus the Parthenon makes is perfectly balanced. We always have to tell the cashier to minus the cheese and yogurt sauce, but it is worth the trouble! Great Greek food.
Really really good gyros!!! Love the sauce with it too. My spouse raved about his burger. Friendly staff, clean inside and out. Can't wait to go back.
Great restaurant. This restraurant makes great pita bread and lentil soup.
They also moved to another location that makes parking easier. The people are fast to get you your food also.
Great food. One of the only places you can find homemade gyros.
Pretty authentic - just had the side athenian salad (good feta) and pork suvlaki sandwich. Pretty good. Tsaziki (yogurt sauce) good, a bit thin for my taste buy yum. Will be back and buy some bulk feta ;-)
