🤗We had the pleasure of dining here with a large party (16). We were the first of our party to arrive so we enjoyed drinks at the bar. They have an extensive drink menu, and bartender Ryan was kind enough to describe to me the specialty cocktails and what the favorites were. He made me a 🍸 pear martini, and it was perfect! Our party was seated, and we enjoyed the appetizers, a sampling of almost everything on the menu. I had the Filet lobster oscar, and my husband had the 18 oz New York strip. Another in our party enjoyed the gorgonzola crusted filet, which was nearly as good as the wagyy filet mignon which melted in your mouth like butter (as I was told by someone who clearly enjoyed it).🍷 The wine was spectacular, and the desserts were generous portions💚The entire experience was wonderful because of the atmosphere and service provided. Thank you to the general manager,Jason, for making sure we were taken care of 👏🏼

It would have been a 5 but the big sirloin was slightly off. It wasn't tasty like the boned in ribeye. With people eating less meats the way to enjoy a steak was to share! 2 big steaks for 4 people. Some sides. Everyone got appetizers and salads to share. Staffs were super! Don't forget the chocolate cake. It's big and tasty. Oh we went for Dana Hall graduation lunch. An awesome way to finish high school.

Dropped by on Father's day for lunch. We did not have a reservation, so were seated at the high-tops (at the bar). At 12:30 there were two tables in use outside and we were the second at the bar. The restaurant was not busy... Fifteen minutes later, there were apologies for neglecting us, explaining it was very busy and the kitchen was overwelmed. They took an order; Surf and turf for two $150 (keep it simple). The manager came by after 20 minutes and offered to comp up a first round at the bar. I don't really drink and it is not clear what one might drink with surf and turf; white wine, red wine, shiraz, fog cutter... The latter might have improved things. A different waiter brought sweet bread, slathered in sweet whipped butter. Half an hour in we were served: two dry lobster tails, nicely prepared, 6 steak tips and four little potatoes, served on a bed of saute parsley, with lemon. The greeter brought it, with a caution that the plate was hot. Unfortunately the lobster tail was not. We had butter knives and bread dishes and asked for plates. A while later another waiter came by and looked with amazement and announced, we needed plates. He brought plates and steak knives. The cold dry lobster tail (probably farm grown) was OK. The steak tips were tasty, as were the little potatoes. We declined desert. After an hour we asked for the check and when it arrived, $200 was presented. The waiter suggested no change? I asked for a moment to consider and left a 20% tip. As we left the dining room room was still empty. This was a definitive culinary data point.

We decided to try a new place to celebrate both my mom and my birthday. Unfortunately this lunch was the most disappointing lunch I have ever had. There was a lot that contributed to this so here is the summary: 3 steaks all overdone Returned and remade, two were still overdone but edible and one was raw. Raw steak was returned and cooked more but it came back still raw. Service was slow and our lunch lasted 3 hours with two young children. Management did try to fix the issue by taking money off the bill and brought us additional fresh sides but at that point the experience could not be corrected. For the price, nothing about our visit was positive. Maybe it was an off night but I cannot recommend this to anyone.

Saturday night impromptu visit was a huge disappointment since we have been wanting to visit S&W in Wellesley for quite some time. Sitting area at the restaurant front is pleasant and inviting, we didn't want to sit in the back which is a parking lot - hot and uncomfortable. The important part - the food... it was very mediocre, overpriced and lacking flavor. Granted that we haven't tried the steak or the dessert, but some of the apps were not that great. Beef carpaccio portion, which I was dying to try, was miniscule and missing a crucial ingredient - the sauce, beef slices were see-through and barely covered an average size plate, evoo taste overpowered everything - for a $25/plate not that good at all. Fried shrimp dish was overcooked on overly salted mashed potatoes (??) - lacking creativity... The order of fries was soggy and not crispy at all - we would have better ones at McDonalds. We did have oysters, which were fine (I mean, you don't do anything with those), but they were different in size and no horseradish sauce as a choice. For a restaurant with this name and caliber, a huge let down. Very disappointing, won't be back at least for a long time.

What a great experience, had dinner here last night and everything was spectacular. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly while also making perfect recommendations. The food was magnificent, well prepared and delicious. The oysters were so fresh and from Prince Edward Island, Canada no less. The server was training a young man and she really showed him great practices and he was great as well, especially considering he was brand new. I highly recommend Smith & Wollensky’s.

Got the porterhouse for two.. WOW, they should call it the porterhouse for five. It was perfectly cooked. The lobster mac is a favorite, and the apple tart is delicious. Service was great, my drink was filled the entire time. The manager (his name was devin) was so accommodating and made sure my girlfriend and I had a great experience.

Came here for a company dinner and was not super impressed with the food, but the service was on point. We had a fixed menu so didn’t get too much variety. The crab cake was on point! The cook on the beef here threw the majority of our group off, well done is medium rare and a medium was pretty much raw, so not so sure I would go back with those being their standards. The cake seemed store bought almost. Not sure on what our final bill total looked like, but I am sure I have had better for the price points we most likely paid.
