Farmer's Market Resturant

No buffet thanks to Covid, but that's not an issue (for me anyway). Generous helpings, reasonable prices, and friendly staff in a family atmosphere. I ordered fish and grits. The fish was batter fried tilapia, which was pretty good. The grits weren't the smooth, creamy grits I was expecting, but with salt, pepper, and a bit of butter they were perfect with the fish. My friend ordered the same and ended up eating most of my fish due to the huge portion. This was a suggestion from the same friend that took me to Blackwater Inn. I have revoked his "let's eat here, you'll love it" card 😂

Very disappointed in my meal of their Friday night Fried Shrimp. The shrimp had been cooked way too long and was like rubber. They even looked darkened in color as if they had been cooked too long. And for $16.95, I expected better quality food. The fried okra and mac and cheese were very good though. But the hush puppies were cooked too hard also. We have had great food from them for many years and have never had a bad meal! I certainly hope that this is not going to become a norm for them. It was take out but we only live 5 minutes away.

Farm to the market. Alot of fresh veggies and fruit. Clothes and home made mask, mask and more mask I never saw so many before. A great place to get out walk and enjoy. Try the Mexican fruit cup while you are there. My 1st time it was amazing. Drenched in lime and Mexican chili season. Mango pineapple watermelon great for the florida hot water refreshing and cool.

Farmers Market has some of the best homestyle Fried Chicken you will find in a restaurant. They also have fresh vegetables to go with it and good service. We've always gotten the buffet because you get to sample everything but since Covid-19 they have discontinued the buffet. I hope they bring it back soon because it's not quite the same.
