San Jose is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants around town. The location is excellent as it's in the heart of Webster Groves and it has an outside patio in addition to regular seating and a bar area . The people are so nice and the food is excellent! This visit was quality as I have become accustomed to from previous visits

San Jose was great for my birthday lunch. We had a large group including little kids and we got to sit downstairs which was great. Our waiter was fast, efficient and very accommodating. Food was delicious as always!
GET THE FAJITAS!! The food is excellent here! Consistently fresh and hot and good! Best tortilla chips in all of STL. The guac is fire and I'm never disappointed when I'm here. Love the staff, S/O to Juan who takes good care of me and my friends/family every time.
San Jose is my favorite Mexican restaurant, and possibly favorite restaurant in general. The food is amazingly delicious, way more flavor than most Mexican restaurants. Fresh and delicious with huge portions. Chips and salsa are fantastic, as well as the margaritas. One of the few places that makes margaritas both delicious and strong. Finally, the service is unmatched. The servers are always running around the restaurant taking care of everyone as fast as they possibly can. Sometimes you have to wait a bit and sometimes they are understaffed (but what restaurant isn't these days), but I've never waited more than probably 5-10 minutes for food, so the wait is always worth it and they make up for it once you sit down at the table. LOVE THIS PLACE!
It was delicious! The salsa and chips are scrumdidilyumpcious 😋 the food was so filling. The service was prefect as well, thank y'all for the great experience!
The food was excellent. Had a nacho starter to share, and it was packed! A chicken quesadilla was much bigger than I thought it would be and delicious. The service was a bit slow at the start and the restaurant didn't seem to busy. But once the food came out everything was great.
Nice, enjoyed being at this restaurant. Food was good, but I was with a group of 23 guys so my order wasn't as hot as I'd like. They somehow managed to get most all of our orders out at roughly the same time, so kudos to them for that. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. I will definitely eat here again, and if it goes as I suspect it will I'll upgrade their rating happily.
Love, love, love San Jose! My favorite dish is the Fajitas Texanas! This dish is so flavorful & so filling. I tried the Jalepeno Margarita. It wasn't too spicy, not spicy at all but still had good flavor.
I got a raspberry margarita.... So good! And I did the pick three with Chile relleno, Verde chicken enchilada and a beef taco. Food is great and nice portion. Also I liked that there was outside seating. I will be back.
This place has fantastic flavors in all of their food. The staff is polite and knowledgeable. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in STL.
The food is pretty much par for the course here and nothing special. The atmosphere was good and seems like it would be even better when the place is more lively.
