Others have pointed out how much the food and service have slipped. Service isn't horrible, but it's been lacking for years. But the food is just so mediocre, and yet still so overpriced. Understand, I"ve been going to Damico, the various locations, for as long as they've been around. In particular I've visited the Wayzata location consistently since it opened as it's close by. I've watched the deterioration, but I assumed they'd eventually get the feedback and improve the quality of the food to where it used to be. But it's only getting worse. Too bad, it really was a regular spot for my family for a long time. But there's no reason to go there anymore. I mean if you want really average food (and absolutely horrendous house red wine....don't get it), and you want to overspend for that average food, then Damico is your place.

I would have gladly sat for 20 mins to have the mistakes corrected but they just gave me the wrong order and sent me on my way. Either they didn't know they had made 2 large mistakes or they didn't care. Here's the story, I placed an order for takeout for my family of 4. I ordered the splendido and instead received the turkey avocado.. On top of that, I ordered a pep pizza and asked for NO basil for 5 year old kids. The pizza came with basil... I can handle the sandwhich mistake. I had to correct the young lady on the phone 3 times when ordering over the phone. Clearly she didn't know the menu and was new. These things happen. However, the pizza mistake sent the kids to hangry tantrum town. What was supposed to be a nice family takeout experience was ruined.
