Culver's

Culver’s was better than expected, and my expectations were high going in. We stopped to eat in on a sunny Sunday around 11:30 outside of Waunakee and we barely waited. Our order was taken promptly, and we gathered our drinks and condiments while we waited for our fresh food. It was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and it was delicious! The concretes put others (looking at you, DQ) to shame. Everyone was friendly and there was plenty of room to sit in the dining area. This was a memorable visit. If you’re in the area, stop in.

Culver’s flavor of the day cups are getting skimpier and skimpier. Today was caramel pecan. Never did find the caramel—tasted a little bit but not sure where it was. The scoop size was minuscule. It did have a fair amount of pecans. Tiny scoops & add ins hardly there have been found at other Culver's than the one today. It will be a while before I go back.

I ordered a large soda with my meal and was given a medium. When I showed the runner my receipt and asked for the correct size he eventually brought me a large soda, as soon as he handed it to me it felt very light so I removed the lid and it was over 3 inches from being full…barely over half full! When I asked him about it he said there was no “Ill content”. So I went inside to speak to a manager and immediately the teen manager said there was no “Ill content” such an odd way for both of them to immediately state the same thing. She said it was probably because of foam settling. Everyone has filled a soda before and you don’t leave 3 inches empty due to foam and them blame the customer. It was completely insulting and when you make a mistake just fix it and accept responsibility! This Culver’s use to have the best Management and now it’s run by useless children.

Very disappointed in my order. There was no tartar sauce for my cod dinner. The roll was very stale - also missing butter (both tartar sauce & butter were on the receipt but not in the bag) and the worst of all is that the coleslaw had turned. Disgusting! I hope I don't get sick from the one bite of it I took!

I live nearby. I've been here many times, and ... other than the occasional slow service (they make everything fresh so sometimes it takes longer) ..., it's a great experience. It's clean, well run and very friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor service. We mostly use drive thru, but occasionally eat inside or outside. I like the salads, especially the seasonal ones like Strawberry Fields salad (summer only). The burgers and the shakes are good as well. They also have good mash potatoes, slaw and fries. You can order fries without salt and/or extra crispy which is nice. I don't recommend the chicken tenders as they are very high in salt.
