New York Restaurant & Grill

We love Indian food and I've visited India a number of times. This was our first Indian restaurant visit in the Des Moines area and we took our parish Priest along, who is from the southern part of India. We started with the Naan Bread Basket and Delhi Chaat (see pictures). Both were good and although the chaat was served differently than what I've enjoyed in India, the taste was still great. I had the Chicken Korma for my meal, which was served with perfectly-prepared Basmati rice. I ordered 4 out of 5 on the spiciness scale and thought it was just right for my taste. We visited this restaurant recently. The girl who assists in seating and taking orders was very courteous. We went on a weekday evening with no other diners. We wanted Choley Bature and though it was not in their menu card, they were courteous to prepare it for us impromptu. I appreciate them going the extra step towards customer satisfaction. Ambience was decent and I really liked the Samosa chat and the fresh fulkas. I would recomment this place definitely. They serve beer and non-vegetarian Indian dishes as well.
