Nicholas' Family Restaurant

I went for lunch. There was a full salad bar, however I chose to get soup and salad from the menu instead. It was delicious! They forgot my soup. I did not complain. They were extremely busy. It was rush lunch hour. Not much of a wait. The salad was so generous that I was not able to finish it all. The waitress, and everyone there was super friendly. I will travel the distance to dine here again and again. I will ask for dressing on the side instead. It was a bit much for me.

I was very disappointed in the food, the food , fried dishes tasted like they were in 4 day old oil. The staff were nice,it took over 10 min to catch them for a refill though. I still tipped them, they were nice and I used to wait on tables and know it wasn't their fault about the food. They make 2.13 an hour and therefore depend on tips. Ill give them another try later though, friends said it's not normally like that.

The wife and I both had the 12oz sirloin and shrimp platter. Food was prepared properly, tasty and reasonably priced at $19. The soup and salad bar which is included was well stocked and fresh. The service was excellent as expected. I cant understand why other restaurants have to beat you over the head with the cost of their meals. Nicholas have a varied menu with great steaks and seafood dishes. Avoid the crowds as we do and get there early before 5pm. One of our favorite restaurants. We will return. UPDATE; I changed my 5 star rating to a 1 star. We can no longer recommend this restaurant for several reasons. After several subsequent trips the food had become increasingly bad. On our last and final trip there what we were served was not what we had ordered or was it the description on the menu. Plus there was an added fee for using our credit card which we were not made aware of. That was the final straw.

We went on Saturday for dinner with 2 other couples, we didn't make reservations, they seated us right away. Our waiter was very attentive and did a good job, we had one small mishap with a wrong dish but was quickly rectifyed. Prices are very reasonable, only beer& wine for cocktails but this was fine. I highly recommend this restaurant we will return.

Stay away!!!! My lunch was absolutely awful!! Cold mashed potatoes and chicken was NOT golden brown fried it looked like warmed floured chicken and tasted days old. The salad bar was lousy, terrible cucumberS n tomatoes. Soup was Watery. Waitress Joyce admitted my food was cold n bad but still charged me 10.99 for salad bar when the entire meal was 12.99 which I returned. And just so y’all know adding a salad to meal was only 599 but I got charged 1099 for soup and salad bar as a meal and I didn’t order as a meal it came with my lousy chicken and mashed potato dinner which was again, return. Wasn’t waitress Joyces fault, ( we still tipped her) she was nice n apoplectic. They should have comp me as my spouse ate n we gladly paid for that meal, The manager also named Joyce and Andy the owner did nothing to satisfy me . Yet Joyce What’s quite rude and condescending Andy didn’t show his face. I’m very upset and disappointed by the whole experience and I still had to pay for it. Hoping I don’t get sick. If I do, I’ll know why Stay away, expensive for lousy OlD food!!!! Guess that's why the place was empty- should have known better What Andy the owner should do is void my charge card ticket today if he had a conscience

The shrimp and scallops were extremely overcooked to the point they were rubbery. The wings were extremely greasy. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant, the gravy tasted old and the country fried steak tasted like the mystery meat from the school lunch lady. Definitely not worth approximately $20 a plate.
