Ruby Tuesday

This place was pretty ok. I had missed all of them when they were open near me. We were traveling and not extremely hungry. I got unlimited salad w/ 2 sliders and he got unlimited salad w/ unlimited soup. The soups weren't the best, but we also went close to closing time. The sliders looked great and I opted to go with just the salad and take the sliders with me since we were traveling. We packed some Lettuce and tomatoes in our to go box from the salad bar, for the sliders. I forgot about them and ate them 2 or 3 days later (it's been cold enough in the car), without the extras of course. They were pretty good.The salad bar was great . They took the romaine and we had to switch to iceberg but no big deal. They should add pieces of chicken to it.. the salad bar is a little slim but also just enough. The employees were nice. People in the kitchen area were singing obnoxiously loud. That was very unappealing. Especially after a very long day and just wanting to grab a bite and rest. Thankfully our waitress had asked them to quiet down bc it was soooo obnoxiously loud. Overpowered every sound in the restaurant. Sure it was only us and 1 or 2 other couples but were not interested in that, if we opted for a bar then sure, but we didn't. Overall a good place.

The food was fresh and tasted great. The hickory bourbon salmon I ordered was fantastic but only 4 stars because there was too much pepper on it and despite there not being many people dining in, we waited 50 minutes for our entrees. The description in the menu did not specify there was pepper, otherwise I would have informed them to not use it on my meal. Other than that, it was a fairly quiet, calm atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I would suggest not having super long fake nails as a waitress though - they can fall off and I've seen it happen at other restaurants I've been to, plus it's just kinda gross from a patron perspective.

2 stars. Why? Well I'm not really a big fan but that's not why.. why I'm giving 2 whole stars is because of customer service. Not by the wait staff but by the manager Chris. Yes I heard him talking to my wife over the phone about the ribs we ordered . Yes way to much pepper dude. What happened to the customer is always right? I don't talk in a disrespectful way to my wife and I don't expect you to either! Keep the food and your attitude. Food ain't that great anyway. I'm happy you didn't do that in person. Way happy. Yes I'll be calling corporate office in the morning

Usually I am not one to complain at all, even if the food is bad I will eat it. But this food took the cake, my entire family had inedible food, and when we told the waitress about our complaint, she just walked away. The dishes by the salad bar were dirty, my silverware was dirty, there was a piece of fried on food in the cup they gave me for water. Ultimately, she ended up giving us a 30% discount, and said she’d speak to the manager for us, we did not eat our food, yet we still paid 70$ for it. Wouldn’t spend my money here if I was anyone who liked clean environments or edible food.

Tonight my boyfriend and I took his son to Ruby Tuesday in Waterville. We had not been out in quite a while and we planned dinner and the drive in for his sons birthday. We waited for an hour and a half for a meal that never came. Our appitizer also did not come for over an hour. Finally we told the waitress we were leaving. I want to be clear and tell you we do not blame her for the poor service we received. We were told that there were only 5 people working which included two managers . . I think it is clear we will not be going back.
