Really good food and friendly service.
Food was amazing, had the bourbon burger with cajun fries. The fries definitely have a kick and the burger was massive and phenomenal. Also had the beer cheese soup and while it wasn't as good as my own it was still pretty great. Our waitress was friendly and the wait was acceptable
Top notch service from Jane! Having been a server, I have high standards and Jane really wowed us. Food was EXCELLENT. The kitchen really outdid themselves. The Eggs Benedict was picturesque and tasted so incredible, even my picky kid loved it. Great experience all around. We will definitely be back. ♥️
This place was awesome! Recommended by the hotel we were staying at. I was skeptical when we first walked into the place, but my skeptisism was quickly replaced by enjoyment after the first bite. Great home style cooking...... Highly recommended... And go hungry, and leave happy.
Been to this restaurant many times and have always had a good experience. Sorry about the other commentators with bad experiences. The food has always been very good and the waitresses are always very nice. I would recommend trying the Hilltop Restaurant especially for their Friday Fish Fry. I think it is the best in town.
Was informed this breakfast/lunch place was hit or miss good. If that was true then we were there on a very good day & time. Folks need to keep in mind, this is a small country restaurant in the small town of Waters and is only open for breakfast & lunch. So if you get there late in the morning, they may have sold out of some items on the menu.
We came in, found a seat as the sign said to find a seat and were quickly greeted by our waitress who took our drink orders and was back before we could read through the menu. So she gave us more time.
We ordered a 3 egg omelette, a 3 egg burrito & 2 pancakes along with our already served good freshly brewed coffee, which was refreshed 3 times during our meal. Oh yes, the waitress made sure we knew & wanted 2 pancakes as they were dinner plate size. WE DID LOL.
Our 11:30 AM breakfast was served within 10 minutes and was piping hot. Both the omelette and burrito were as huge as the pictures on this site indicate. Both were full of chopped peppers, onions and meat (the way we ordered it)
We were stuffed and the waitress checked with us, seeing the fullness on our faces to make sure we wanted boxes for taking home our partially eaten pancakes and the leavings of our main meal. Which we happily consumed at home later in the day.
We enjoyed the folks, the food and the service.
If there is any negetive to say, it would have to be the acoustics. There were not many folks there when we visited and as such the conversations bounded off the hard bare walls. BUT... if you have ever eaten at Cracker Barrel restaurant and survived, the Hilltop is much quieter.
Enjoy...We did
Oh yes forgot... Restroom were clean
We always stop at the Marathon there. Decided to eat this time. My cheeseburger was good. Service was great. Thank you to Jane, our waitress.
Had the smoked brisket sandwich. Loved it. The staff was very friendly. The house chips and the fries were also good. Will definitely be back.
This is one of my family's favorite places to eat on vacation. Good menu and reasonable prices. One of the kids asked to come here for a birthday dinner and we live 2.5 hours from the restaurant
Very nice place to eat, and very friendly staff. If you ever get a chance to go it's exit 270 on 75 waters Michigan. They have fish night on Friday.
