Outdoor seating, raw bar is cash only but tasty, parking is tricky so park in the state boat launch area. My family are big beach goers so this place on the way home is up our streak ! Can’t wait to come again!

Review by PNS. Is total BS. The Dock is a walk up clam shack/hot dog stand with a patio area overlooking the water. Hard to say its dirty, since the place is outside. Also, since there is no dining room, by definition there really is no service in the traditional sense. You order at the counter and they hand you your food through the window.
Not really sure what PNS is talking about, or how exacting one's standards should be for a clam shack.

We recently stopped for lunch at the Dock Restaurant in Niantic, CT. Staff was friendly and very helpful in our decision to order. We went with a hot lobster roll and a scallop platter. placed our order and went to seat ourselves on the large deck overlooking the bay. beautiful views and it was a bright and sunny day, perfect. As we were walking to grab a table we passed the raw bar, that caught my attention. I placed a order for a couple of clams, they were cherrystones, small but tasty, just what I needed. Back to the lobster roll and scallops of which both were very good and plentiful. Overall the Dock was a great stop for us, beautiful scenery, good food nice portion size. The choice of the hot lobster roll went against all of my convictions, but the cold lobster roll was with heavy dose of mayo and celery, to me that's a lobster salad, not my preference with a cold lobster roll. All was good at the Dock Restaurant if you are in that area looking for a nice seafood lunch give it a try. I would give it a 4.5 but it doesn't allow, so instead of the best 5 star rating , it is a 4.5 worth stopping in and enjoy the fresh air, boats in the bay the Niantic River drawbridge and see some trains roll by.
This is a great little mostly fried fish joint on the bay. Kick back for a super causal inexpensive beer for the area, on draft in a plastic cup and enjoy hanging out talking with friends. View is great!
Foods good for the “style” of place. Run by young adults. Lobster roll bun could have had better bread and toasted??? I think it’s only open Wednesday- weekend??? Great after work stop!

Great lil seafood shack. Has a good seafood selection. The fried option were all very tasty. The oysters, clams, and shrimp were very fresh and they provide excellent toppings for them. The place has parking and it’s a very easy drive. It’s a must try when in or near Waterford.
Wife and I had lunch here after an early morning fishing trip. Ordered the lobster roll and fried scallop roll with some beers. Staff friendly, food delicious and beers cold! Lobster roll had a crisp bun, with butter thoughtfully on the side so it wouldn't be soggy by the time you brought it to your table. The lobster itself was perfectly cooked, great flavor and in nice big chunks. The scallop roll was okay, the scallops themselves were fresh, not overcooked and nicely breaded, next time we'd probably just order fried scallops, skip the bun. Tartar sauce was good, not sticky sweet. Coleslaw average but tasted very fresh. If we're in the area again we'd definitely come back, great food and brews with a great view of the passing boats.
This is a marina bar and restaurant. It's a small place right on the dock. It has that cool local vibe, populated by the fishermen and boaters who occupy the slips. The bar is right on the dock, and there is a large seating area on top of the bar with great views of the marina and Niantic River. The restaurant is detached, and you order at the window, then pick up your food and take it to your choice of seating. The bar has a row of seats right on the dock in the sun and also some seating inside. They serve wine and beer and also ice cold jumbo shrimp at the bar. Great menu of seafood items. Excellent day drinking place to hang out in the sun.
Great place to go n chill out, the food is good,we had some drinks it was a peaceful great experience
