My family has been going to Anthony J's Bistro for 30 years. Quant little restaurant. On this visit a friend and I arrived at an off hour. Between lunch and dinner. The bartender was also our server. She was pleasant and engaging. Food was good but not what I was used to at this establishment. I blame it on Covid. Will be back in the spring and will update this review.

Anthony J's Bistro is an Italian restaurant located in Mystic(Beautiful place ). Good taste and friendly staff. It was crowdy when I go there. We ordered Pasta&Garlic bread lemonade. Breakfast, lunch & dinner available here Good taste, ambiance was good. You can sit inside out & upstairs. You can enjoy your food anywhere. Mystic is a beautiful and crowdy place so sometimes you have problem with parking Minimum Parking space. Public Restroom is also available. Cash and digital payment are acceptable. For vegetarian I will not prefer this Restaurant. I found only garlic bread and for pizza and pasta You have to tell what you want.

This place is really romantic, cozy and a great place to dine. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance because it looked much nicer in person than the photos depicted. We sat outside on the side patio as recommended by another reviewer, and it was perfect. I ordered Lava Rock Teriyaki Steak which was so amazingly good. It comes out raw on a 650° rock and you cook it to your liking. It cooks really fast, you just flip it once or twice. It gives off a little bit of smoke for the first minute but then it mostly goes away. Because of the smoke (I assume), it is noted as being *only available at the outdoor seating* .. so that’s another reason to take the patio. Service was really fast and on point. It’s also centrally located downtown so you can easily roam the area afterwords and get to know Mystic better. Everything was just great all around. I would love to go back again.

Attentive, friendly wait staff & we enjoyed the cozy ambience. I feel bad saying this, but our meals were nothing special, particularly for the price. On top of this, unfortunately, we were seated in a spot where I looked into the kitchen the whole time. An upside... I can verify the kitchen staff was masked up! All in all, I'd go there again... perhaps it was an off night, but just for spaghetti... something basic. I'll admit we're spoiled living in an area with so many superb Italian restaurants nearby. This probably jaded our impressions of the food, but we were disappointed with what we ordered.
