Singo Sushi

I wanted to like this place. Server and sushi chef were really nice. They had some interesting specials on the board. Fish was fresh but not very tasty. My friend had a cooked entree and he said it was marginally good. My hot tea came in a paper cup. It was like a fast food sushi restaurant at moderately expensive sushi prices. If I really want sushi and am in the Waterbury area, I may go back. But I couldn't say this place compares with some of the better sushi I've had elsewhere.

Two of my friends and I go to sing go sushi at least every other week. It's a bit of a drive for a couple of us to get there, but we do like the food, and the service by Felicia is incredible. She's very sweet, and brightens up the place. I would say the quality of her service mixed with the variety of food on the menu are the reasons that we go there.

The food was very fresh and tasty! However the presentation was not great. They started by giving us (party of 2) four water bottles (which they charged for). Our miso soup came out in a styrofoam bowl. Then the four plates of sushi we ordered came out at different times rather than all at once. We got one paper plate with ginger, wasabi, and a plastic cup for soy sauce. The rolls were tasty but sloppily rolled; the spicy tuna stuck to the plate and fell apart as we ate it. The sushi dinner was well made though. Overall the quality of the food is quite good, but the presentation and ambiance are very lacking.

Everything was absolutely delicious, the food was prepared fresh and quickly. The most exquisite and authentic dragon roll I've ever had. I ordered the Tony Soprano, Victoria Secret, Amigo Jalapeño, Don Quixote salmon, and the gyoza dumplings. This was my second visit and absolutely won't be my last.

This place has the best sushi in the greater waterbury area. Singo is back and he is a true artist when it comes to his dishes. Just visited today and they have expanded their space. It is now double in size and they did a great job with the renovation. Ingredients are always fresh and you can find some very creative rolls at this place. I always stop in when I visit the area.
