Ami's Bagels And Deli

There is only one place that I have gotten a better Bagel, which was at David's in East Village, Manhattan. Since it is not practical to drive to the city just to buy a dozen bagels on a Sunday morning, I had to find somewhere else to get my bagel fix. I have tried multiple places in town, and I won't knock some of their competitors, but I will say this: Anybody can make a decent bagel. In fact, it is difficult to make a bad bagel. But to make great bagels, is an art! And Ami's is Bagel Art! A crunchy exterior that resonates in your ears like a toasted symphony gives way to a soft, chewy, almost fluffy interior. And their in house cream cheese?! Infused with a little something extra to drive your bagel experience home!.. I go with the scallion or veggie cream cheese myself but to each is own... Life is made rich by enjoying the simple pleasures and Ami's takes something as simple as Bagel and makes it a truly pleasurable experience!I wish I could give the 10 stars cuz they deserve it! Get there early for variety! Like anything this good, they go fast!!

Saturday 9am 11.14.20 and stopped in to order a bagel. No bagel selection so ordered a plain bagel. Lenders frozen bagel would have been a better choice. The bagel I received was stale and dry and tasted like it was made yesterday or days ago. I usually frequent the other location. I guess that is where they make the bagels. I will stick to that location. This location is dated, old and tired. Just like the bagel I received today.
