We really had a lovely time. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious. A lot of fresh local options, very well done, nothing too sweet- we enjoyed the steak and the heirloom tomato salad. The hush puppies were amazing!

Fresh, clear flavors in upscale fare. The food is "upscale" - presentation, styling, ingredients, etc. - but the place is more like "upscale casual". Which isn't a bad thing, given the locale - this feels like something that would be absolutely at home in Napa. All that said, you really should check the place out if you're in the 'hood... (btw, the cocktails are *outstanding*)

This was our second time at the restaurant, we had s great experience last year when we celebrated my girlfriend birthday. I've got to say that terrible disappointed. They have changed the menu, very limited. We ordered the duck and it was rubbery. They were trying to fix it but the alternatives were as bad. We bought a bottle of wine and the waiter told us that we can help ourselves to refill the wine glasses I'll never go back

Hadn't been there in several months (since before Covid). But this Sunday I went as I saw they had venison on the menu. The preparation was superb. The venison, which I hadn't had in many, many (many) more than several months, was kind of tame. But inasmuch as most venison is now farm, rather than ranched, raised, this was not unexpected. Still, it was good, tender and succulent. The appetizer, blue fish pate, and the dessert, bread pudding, were beyond reproach. Let's keep this place open as it's the only serious competitor with Tavolo, which is up the street a few miles or so. Personally, I need choices as it keeps me happy.

Up to expectations, in some things better than the competition up the road.

Delicious. Confit beet Caesar salad we shared to start was brilliant. Can hardly wait to be back up this way to visit again.

Ambience is excellent, nestled between a Scandinavian designed building and vibrant native plants. Food was very good and well-seasoned, if a touch over-seasoned regarding the fried potato dish. Portion sizes have improved over past visits, and the menu is more balanced now. Has lost most of it's Scandinavian food influence and seems to have edged closer the to the oh-so-trendy Middle-Eastern cuisine now. Service was professional and attentive, if lacking a touch of warmth and personality (masks don't help.) Cost-cutting shortcuts have been implemented from the past and can bee seen in silverware, plateware, glassware etc. Infamous sourdough boule bread that was complimentary is now gone, replaced with a sourdough focaccia that costs $8. Homemade Vahlrona chocolate with the check is gone, replaced with a cutesy shell in its place. Elements of molecular gastronomy were not seen, although desserts were not sampled, so they may be present. All in all it was a fine experience, but not remarkable. It seems to be resting on it's history a bit, with an overall lack of focus and cohesion between it's menu, ambience, and material quality. Also, $18 cocktails seem out of place in CT... perhaps acceptable in the city. Alcohol in general seemed overpriced vs. other restaurants in the area.
