The Carvery

My husband and I went to the buffet last Friday since it was a seafood buffet and we love seafood. We had gone to the regular buffet many times in the past and were always generally happy with it. This time we were very disappointed. They had a pan of calamari and a pan of clam strips and when I started eating them, I realized they were beyond old. The waitress happened to be walking by and saw my face as I was trying them and asked me if something was wrong. I told her they were old and she said she'd have them change them out. Several minutes later she told me new ones were out. When I got a plate and tried them I realized that they put new ones in the pans and then simply put the old chewy ones on top. Several other dishes were very old and stale as well. We were going to both get crab legs at an extra charge but decided against it because we didn't want to risk paying extra and then getting old crab legs. When we paid, the cashier asked how everything was and I told her about our experience. She said "Ya, it gets old after sitting out for a while." No apology. No anything at all. My husband and I ended up paying $60 plus tip for cocktail shrimp and a few sides. We were very disappointed and would've chosen to go elsewhere had we known the quality of the food. The waitress was fantastic!

The food was Awful!! I'm not one to usually complain but the selection and quality was Unbelievable for a Casino. Pittsburgh is so much nicer! Only protein was Prime Rib and it was full of gristle and tough. The salad entrees were dried out, obvious they had sat there all day and not fresh. There were vegetable entrees (I think) you couldnt tell what they were, unrecognizable. For 19.99 it was unacceptable, I was afraid to try most items for fear of getting sick. I would never eat there again, they comped the gentlemen next to us, they went up to view the options and left. In the future, even if free , I wouldn't risk it! Buyer stay away!

They do not accept reservations made on the website. We received email and phone confirmations on our reservation and were told by the Carvery host they do NOT accept them. Customers stood in line over 30 minutes waiting to get in after the 11am opening. We were told the servers are scheduled to come in at 11:30. Our party was meeting prior to my daughter's graduation and this would make her late. The host finally moved us past the line to our tables, and comped my daughter's meal. Had it not been for the terribly long wait forced on those in line, my rating would have been higher.

Went here with a group for dinner this past Saturday may 20th. I enjoyed it. The food was really good. Salad bar selection was good. The beef at the carving station was unreal. It was so tender. It fell apart in my mouth. The only complaint I have is the fact that a lot of items were empty. It looked like they couldn't keep up. I didn't understand this because it wasn't that busy at all. After my salad I went up to the side station. The only item available was mashed potatoes. Everything else was empty. I really didn't feel like waiting there for 4 other items to be refilled. I would go back because the food that was actually available was good. But I would like to be able to try the other items that weren't out. The only side I had was mashed potatoes. That was frustrating.

We ate dinner there tonight! Prices were raised to $35.99 for Valentine's Day, which we never saw the sign because it was on the opposite side of the podium! The salad bar was out of several items. I was on crutches and had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to come to the carving station to slice me a piece of Prime Rib, which was very tuff that I could hardly cut it, and my Husband's had a sliver of bone in it! My Husband loves anything Seafood ( I Don't) and he couldn't eat the Seafood Pasta because he said it had no flavor and tasted like Chalk! All the steamed vegetables were either cold or luke warm! The Beef Gravy had a sweet flavor to it so I couldn't eat my mashed potatoes that I also had to wait for. The manager ask how everything was & I told him not very good, he ignored my response and continued processing our bill while talking to another trying to figure out why the receipt for another customer wasn't printing! We've had dinner here several times & I can honestly say 3 out of the last 5 times it was horrible! Mostly the excuse is they got a new Chef or are Short Staffed in the kitchen! For $35.99 tonight I Had a Small Salad & Roll a Cup of Wedding Soup, 2 Bites of Tuff Prime Rib, 3 Bites of Mashed Potatoes with a Sweet Brown Gravy & a Chicken Leg & the last piece of Cheesecake! My Husband didn't eat most of what he chose either because it was so bad! Don't think we'll be going back!

It's a buffet. Definitely expected it to be better for the amount of advertising they do for it.. Not a lot of meat choices, and unreliable quality and selection. Sometimes there's a lot to choose from and its fresh, other times there's not many options and it is been sitting for awhile. I was there earlier today and was disappointed, best thing I had was the salad.
