Mamma Ilardo's Pizzeria

I get breakfast from here everyday, and it is always fresh, ample portions, and delicious. The staff is great too and always ask how I am doing, and notice when I am not there the day before. The pizza and calzones always look amazing, and I have seen them prep everything in the am, so not sure how it could be moldy as another reviewer commented.

The breakfast portions are large and delicious. I typically eat here for breakfast. They make excellent omelets and coffee cake. They serve coffee, grits, all the breakfast meats, French toast. They got it. They have huge single pizza slices and really good pizza. Check them out when you're in DC. Plus, excellent customer service.

I've had my fair share if Italian food, but this is some of the worst I've had. Ordered a pepperoni calzone that was in an over for five minutes and yet it should've been in there longer since the bread wasn't even fully baked--there was still a good chunk that was nothing but dough. The cashier's attitude didn't help too much when I asked for napkins. Only reason this isn't one star was because ONE staff member was nice enough to tell me a bit of what's on the menu. I will never come back here as long as the food is undercooked.
