The food and service were excellent, and the combination of both made my experience here great. I would absolutely recommend this pizza spot to everyone. I was alone for my visit but I'll be back with my daughter asap. The vibe here encourages you to use a fork and knife, but I stuck with the traditional way and ate my pizza with my hands. I enjoyed every bite. I wanted to try each type but settled for a Detroit style and a Nonna slice. The service from Riley deserves a shout-out. Riley surprised me with a giant cookie while I devoured my pizza. I must say this cookie tasted amazing like a chocolate chip snickerdoodle, if that's even a thing. I had a great time at Della Barba Pizza and will be back to try the Chicago style next.

We got pizza from Joey back when he worked out of an industrial kitchen. I can still remember having chats about different pizza styles with him on the phone back in the day. Amazing to see how far it's come. Also we're native detroiters. And their Detroit style is BETTER than ones back home. I'm not messing. Go today. Get the Detroit.

So good!! My husband and I stopped here for lunch one day and the pizza was delicious, service super nice and friendly, and ambiance was very cool. I got a slice of Nonna ($6) and he got the individual Detroit ($10) and it was a perfect amount - left full and happy. The iced tea was great too. Will definitely be back!

This place is all around excellent, inside had an upscale but warm and comfortable feel. The pizza was solid, had the mini Detroit, perfect size for one, taste and texture were both spot on for me. Definitely recommend for a pizza outing in Cap Hill.

Have been here twice - once for pizza with my partner at lunch and once for coffee and breakfast with a friend. Delicious and delightful both times. The Nonna pizza is amazing, inside space is cute and the AC works great on a hot afternoon. The breakfast espresso and avocado toast are delicious and there are cute outdoor tables so you can relax with your pup. Owner and staff are very courteous, great service.

Decided to update my review after a few more tries. As they say, you get what you pay for and at Della Barba you are paying for quality, not quantity. Pizza is damn good, especially the deep dish. Flavorful crust and sauce. Have tried all the crust styles now and they are all good depending on what you're in the mood for.

Really quaint little pizza in the heart of a nice residential neighborhood. We ordered one of every type of pizza they had, and none of them disappointed. My favorite of course was the Chicago style pizza which is really hard to find in this area. Great date night spot for cozy couple. We also ordered four of the cookies which were all delicious, make sure you have them toast them for you so they're fresh.

I don’t know why I waited so long to try this place but it is now my go-to! I got a NY style and a mini Chicago pizza and a salad. Would not order a salad again but the pizzas were delicious!!

Very glad to have this place join the neighborhood. You may recognize it from Union Kitchen. The pizza is fantastic with great crust and pepperoni (always a good sign when it curls). Loved both the cheese and pepperoni Nonna style equally, which is pictured. Always had the Detroit style which just as crispy and delicious. Cute small seating inside with summer seating and seasonal pizzas to come.

I got the nonna pizza with pepperoni and black olive. The pizza WAS FANTASTIC!! First of all, black olives are hard to find in DC pizza places, so Della Barba already has a leg up. BUT THE PIZZA WAS 5-STAR. The sauce, the crust, the cheese - all perfectly balanced and delicious. Crust was crispy on the outside but tender and fluffy and flavorful inside. Will be back for sure!
