What can I say about Vagabond? Amazing! Everything was great from the space to the food to the drinks for a great price (especially for DC). I celebrated my birthday here with brunch and had a great experience. Here are some of my thoughts: Environment It's a beautiful space that gives great natural bright light that adds to the peaceful and vibrant atmosphere. We came by for a Sunday brunch and it was pretty busy but not overly packed. They also have a rooftop but we decided to sit inside due to the cloudy weather that day. We really loved the space - it was comfortable and had a great ambiance. Service Our server was great and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He was very friendly and helpful. We ordered bottomless mimosas and the drinks continued to flow and the food came out fast and efficient. Great service! Food and Drinks They have a $44 brunch special that includes an entree and bottomless mimosas and a few other cocktail options. If you're a frequent bruncher in DC then you know that this is a great deal! The mimosas were good and the food was tasty. I had the pancakes, eggs and potatoes and also tried the King's sliders. All the food was pretty good and definitely worth the price and worth coming back to try other things off the menu. Definitely give it a try. Overall Overall we really had a great time. It was a perfect place for my birthday with good drinks and food. The service was great and the ambiance was nice. I will definitely be back for more brunches and to try their dinner options. Highly recommend and can't wait to return.

The decor was amazing as was the service. The food was just extremely spicy, including one of the drinks we got. There should be some kind of warning! The flavor was still there, so I won’t complain! Our appetizer came out at the same time as our entree because we ordered everything at the same time. The waitress was too sweet about it for us to mind.

We came to Vagabond for dinner. The host was very friendly and sat us right away. The restaurant is cheerful and has a beach vibe. My 9 year old thought it was the most amazing thing that they have a surfboard on the ceiling! Unique beverages. Our wait service was decent. The food took a really really long time to arrive, but it was good. Presentation is very nice. The chicken skewers were my favorite item that we ordered. The shrimp skewers had 3 shrimp and mostly veggies, but OK. Rest rooms are down a flight of stairs and really dimly lit. I’d definitely try this restaurant again.

*Update* Returned on Tuesday night because I forgot a pair of sunglasses, and the music allows for conversation on a weeknight. I met Ricky, one of the managers, tonight, and he was so incredibly friendly. This time I tried the fish and Birria tacos, and no regrets! Vagabond checks all the boxes: great service, delicious food, lovely decor and vibe, and reputable. Really cute date night spot or girls’ dinner spot where the food actually matches the decor. The blonde male waiter at the outdoor patio last night was really nice and made great recommendations. Highly recommend the skirt steak, and my watermelon cocktail was superb. The interior is gorgeous, but the music on the patio was a better volume for conversation or if you’re 30+

This place was so cute!!! Their outdoor patio was very cute and right almost on the line of Dupont and Adams Morgan, so it’s nice and quiet but still close to all the bars 😏 Each cocktail is roughly $13, a lot of their alcohol is infused with something like pineapple or w/e. They have a few things that are gluten free & vegan, like these yuca fries! ** GLUTEN FREE & VEGAN OPTIONS ** NO HAPPY HOUR

Came here for a night cap! The theme for the drinks are Puerto Rican. Drinks were very unique and delicious. One of the drinks on the menu, definitely needs some tweaking (the one with Campari, Vermouth & smoked pineapple) but the concept is definitely fun. Prices were decent. Would definitely go back. We haven’t tried any food, but looking at the menu they have a few vegetarian options but can’t comment on the food since we didn’t dine in. The place has a nice island vibe with white with blue/greens.

Simply awesome. I literally would have ordered “one of each” if it made sense for our group… everything on the menu looked delicious— and was! The fish stew was the biggest hit. I really enjoyed the chicken. Cocktails are tasty and the right amount of alcohol. Seek out the speakeasy in the lower level. I feel like the prices were discounted a little since it’s a new place… I’d be surprised if they stay that way.

The atmosphere was really nice and decor was really nice. The place was a bit loud but nothing too crazy I guess cause it’s just a bit of a small space. The food was amazing. I loved it definitely coming back and trying different things on the menu. I would say our waitress was not as attentive to our table, but other than that I would rated it a 9out of 10.

Saw their post about a soft opening on Instagram so decided to try it out on the very first night. Staff still getting to know each other and the place, but all very friendly and made you feel like they were happy you were there. We tried a few things, and highlights were the beet hummus, the vegetable chips with a great dill dip (although the chip to dip ratio could use some refining), and the sliders. We are happy to have them in the neighborhood and we will definitely be back.

I would highly recommend booking with Vagabond for any private event you might be hosting. Vagabond hosted our group of ~40 people in their private dining area and I couldn’t be more impressed. Evan coordinated our event beautifully and made sure all of our needs and wants were met from food, drinks, scheduling, etc. They had a wide variety of food options to meet various dietary restrictions and there was plenty of food to go around the entire night. About a dozen attendees communicated to me how successful the evening was and how much they loved the venue. Trust that this is the best venue around for hosting a private event - I was skeptical about finding a place in the DC area close to our hotel that would have the perfect combination of food, service, cost, location, convenience, and ambiance. Vagabond checked all those boxes and more. Thank you again to Evan for helping us coordinate such a successful event!
