The visitors only can take a look from outside. Plenty of parking space.
Ive gotta admit at first i was lost, such long hallways kinda dark and spooky, until i ran into a little bright light which turned out be the food court. I came to this little cafe selling fresh homegrown strawberries, full of fuzziness, absolutely delicious made me lick my lips to make sure it was real. (It was) unfortunately you do need security clearance to enter but overall, what a delightful experience
Flying out of Airport over Virginia side. Pentagon and other spots in VA
My mom told me: Honey, don't go too far. I wish she knew how far I went today :)
I wish to see this place whole my life, but I landed here accidently. Just because I lost my way. I realized where I was after my phone lost connection 😀
Their tacos are very good! I had a beef tongue taco and some chips! Would definitely recommend to go eat at!
The Pentagon is the world second largest office building.
Access is controlled and you will need an invitation and an escort to enter if you don't already have access.
All visitors must enter through the visitor center adjacent to the main entrance and accessible from the Metro station and bus terminal.
Visitor parking requires a sponsor from a cleared employee and advance planning. You will want to take the shuttle from North parking to the front entrance as there are no good walking paths.
The Pentagon has a great selection of shops and restaurants for the employees and visitors. Additionally there are loads of historical and art exhibits in the hallways. It is not a great place for kids to go. The are no real activities and it is an office building, not a daycare or playground.
We came to DC, Virginia, to see all of the historical sites.
1st stop was the Pentagon.
WOW. This building is gigantic.
We also went back on the side of the Pentagon to see the "Pentagon Memorial"
I felt so many emotions.
It's also free... like a lot of things in DC
Went there, saw a guy with a weird vest on and a great looking beard, his name was Mohammed real nice guy, and the the next minute there was some kind of explosion.
It looks really cool, probably one of my top 10 favorite building designs
I've taken the tour 3 times and I always see new parts of the building which is nice! The tour guides are very friendly and are happy to answer (reasonable) questions. Security is stringent but friendly. The appointment confirmation always says you have to be there an hour before your tour, but if you get there 40 minutes before you're totally fine too. And oh, it's usually quite cold in the building (even in the summer) so make sure you bring a sweater!
