I'm visiting DC for my first time and decided to try Momo's as my first restaurant in the area. It set a great tone for my trip. The braised pork, which is flavorful and soft, and hakkaido milk tea are outstanding and true to Taiwanese cuisine. I didn't like the Taiwanese sausage quite as much, but the popcorn chicken left a better impression. All this considered along with the prices being around par for what you get makes this an easily recommendable restaurant for those looking for authentic Taiwanese food.

Their Japanese Takoyaki (minced fried octopus with Bonito flakes-thin, moving, fish shavings, & Takoyaki sauce $9). DECENT. I have nothing to compare this too, but it was ok. A tad bit too fishy, & chewy for me.
Their Fried Beef Dumpling (with a sweet chili sauce $7.50). DELICIOUS!! Good, I just needed more seasonings on the beef.
Their Taiwanese Spicy Pot (with Angus beef, rice, Bok Choy, a crab stick, mushrooms, scalloped tofu, egg dumplings, popcorn chicken, & a blood rice cake $21.50). STAMP!! Well blended, & seasoned ingredients. The spicy BROTH, put this meal over the top!! GET THIS!!
Their Bento Box (with a braised egg, fried cabbage, broccoli, Taiwanese sausage, 3 colored corn, pickled mustard greens, rice, & popcorn fried chicken $14.25).
The egg, tofu, & corn…DECENT. Just not to MY liking, that’s it.
The Greens, & sausage…LIJE THAT!! Hearty well seasoned greens, and sweet n spicy protein!!
Their Popcorn Chicken (seasoned fried chicken nuggets $8.75). STAMP!! Crispy, juicy, fried hard, & well seasoned!!
Their MoMo’s Potted Plant Boba (a milk tea with boba jellies, chocolate crumbles, & matcha on top $6.75). STAMP!! Creamy, sweet, & chocolaty!!
Their Hokkaido Boba (also a vanilla milk tea with boba jellies, & whipped cream $5.75). STAMP!! Like a vanilla shake with gummy bears at the bottom!!

I recently celebrated my friend’s birthday here and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. The staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable celebration.
When I mentioned it was my friend’s birthday, they not only surprised us with a beautifully decorated ice cream dessert but also changed the background music to the birthday song. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made the celebration even more special.
The food was outstanding, showcasing the flavors of Taiwan in every dish. We indulged in a variety of dishes, each bursting with authentic taste and freshness.
Highly recommend Momo’s Cafe for anyone looking for delicious Taiwanese cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere!

Very nice and relaxing Taiwanese Japanese fusion spot with really good ramen, personal hot pots, bentos, and other apps and bubble tea!

not too pricey, quick, cute and yummy. but not the best service. its more like takeout with a place to eat inside

I absolutely adore this Taiwanese spot. It's in a cozy, sleepy part of the Palisades area, nothing fancy (and that's part of the appeal in my opinion) but staffed by friendly people. Love the popcorn chicken bento box and the strawberry cheese milk foam drink.

I work near here and decided to check it out on my lunch break. I’m so glad I did because I had the best eel bento box and taro milk tea. I’m looking forward to trying the more traditional Taiwanese foods that I haven’t gotten a chance to try. The sea salt coffee is so delicious I think it might be the best coffee I’ve ever had! Can’t recommend enough!

Authentic Taiwanese food. Fried chicken and fried tempura are my favorite. I highly recommend you try these two. Monster the shaved ice is also very tasteful.
Have visited here three times and will definitely visit again in the future.

Momo’s Cafe is a cozy little restaurant specializing in Taiwanese bento and street food. Had the opportunity to speak with the owner once and they take great pride in the authenticity of their bento and the food they serve.
The place is small but quite cute. It has outdoor seating as well. The server was friendly and attentive. She took the time to explain the restaurant’s specialties and shared her personal favorites.
As for the food, everything we tried was really flavorful. The menu was comprehensive and truly showcased a wide range of Taiwanese comfort food, with options like bento, iron pan entrees, and Taiwanese street snacks to name a few. Momo’s cafe also serve Taiwanese shaved ice and boba tea.
I particularly enjoyed the popcorn chicken and the spicy pot. The chicken was incredibly crunchy and well marinated. Fried basil added nice flavor to the dish. The spicy pot was comforting and fulfilling, accompanied by a delightful array of fresh ingredients. The portion size was generous, making it an excellent choice for sharing as well.
In all, my dining experience at Momo’s Cafe was a great success. I highly recommend trying their unique dishes. The location is a bit hidden and inconvenient. The recommended way to get to the restaurant would be by car.

I visited this restaurant this past weekend.
Environment/Customer Service: The restaurant was super cute and cozy. The best way to describe it is pretty in pink. Everyone was nice and the menu was easy to navigate.
Food: I ordered black pepper braised pork bento and strawberry black tea while my boyfriend got the popcorn chicken bento. We both liked our food and we were given a good amount (except for the collards-it was a very tiny portion but maybe some fell out and I didn’t realize it).
Also, I do wish the bento box had its own lid or wrap - some of the juice from the food spilled and the box that the bento was placed was soggy and began to rip. But that wouldn’t stop me from doing take out again.
Overall, it was a good experience. I recommend this place if you’re in the area and looking for a nice lunch!
