Black Coffee - Washington DC - Photo album

Busy on any Saturday or Sunday when the weather’s nice. I appreciate their specialty latte’s and teas, hit or cold. If you can’t wait, their pastries are top notch - I had the lemon ginger scone today, but if you can wait, their hot dishes are worth it!
Came in here on a Sunday, after visiting the farmers market, to buy a cold drink but instead settled for some free ice cold water from the pitcher. I quite liked the vibe and decor and returned today for a hot chocolate and some banana bread. Not as busy as it was yesterday but there’s a constant
Just stopped by after the Independence Day parade; despite being packed to the brim they were really fast with ordering and bringing out food. Besides serving coffee, they had several vegetarian and a few vegan dishes (incl one granola bar style pastry). We ordered the southwest grain bowl. It was v
Nice place for a leisurely coffee and chat with friends. Good food. Service is a bit slow, and there seems to be some sort of time/motion problem. Takes longer to receive drinks and food than other similar establishments. Go figure. Good quality baked goods. Reasonably priced.
Why visit? Fantastic local coffee shop with delicious food and cool merch. Overall rating (10 point scale): 9 Cuisine: American coffee shop with fam to table breakfast and lunch fare Ambience: cool hip indie coffee shop, anti- Starbucks Time of day: 9 am Sunday Wait time: 5 minutes (short line) Size
My favorite cafe after going 3x in a month! Great variety and quality of food and drinks. Dogs on the outside patio, friendly staff inside, warm and festive atmosphere. Parking on the street isn't hard to find on weekends.
I really liked that I found a coffee spot that isn’t as expensive as what you would pay at Starbucks but doesn’t sacrifice on drink quality. I’ve been ordering the daily specials which was the golden latte and the iced ube latter and both were delicious! I will be back regularly!
I'm always impressed with the quality of the food. Today was buttermilk pancakes with bacon and coffee. Go early on Sundays bc it gets busy!
I went during a Friday lunch hour and found lots of screaming kids, big strollers, and harried parents. The loud atmosphere made it difficult to talk to my friends. For peace and quiet, definitely consider someplace else. For chaos and clatter, this will be your happy space.
Black Coffee is quickly becoming my favorite brunch spot. Great service and solid food and coffee. Spacious outdoor area.
Black Coffee had me at fair trade coffee and a breakfast sandwich with "scallion spread." Black Coffee is THE coffee shop in a tight knit neighborhood along the Potomac River near Georgetown NW called the Palisades. On weekend mornings, Black Coffee is a community meeting spot; you'll take witness t
The ham and cheese croissant is AMAZING, very cheesy and flavorful. The salmon is extremely fresh and delicate. 10/10
I love this cafe. The food and coffees are great and they have some vegan and some gluten free options. They have always been super dog friendly as far as I’ve witnessed which I really appreciate (I am still cautious and I try not to over do it with my dog in restaurants. This isn’t really a place f
Honeycrisp apple cider was a perfect cold morning treat! Pretty interior and great pastries!
Love this place! Have been going to Black Coffee for about 3 years now and it is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. The baked good are outstanding, especially the cheddar biscuits! Although I always get black coffee (as in no cream), it always tastes fresh and perfectly brewed! Love the am
One of my favorite places sort of in DC. The food-from the sides of potatoes to the gluten free vegan pastries -is delicious(the breakfast sandwich is especially good.) The staff is friendly even when faced with a long line of uncaffeinated customers, while the atmosphere relaxed and non assuming. T
Amazing fresh food. Quick service, reasonable prices. Enough seating. The 2 unisex bathrooms were clean.
