Love the layout and location! It's kind of a quiet secluded spot for U Street (hidden behind 9:30), which is nice. We went here for boozy milkshakes. They were great, though the whiskey bit pretty hard through my peanut butter shake. Maybe rum would be a good substitution. Also tried the tater tot poutine. It was greasy and the cheese curds were more like old chunks of mozzarella... but really enjoyed the spot overall.
The Satellite Room was part of a bar crawl. Wished I could have lingered longer. The staff was very friendly, the menu looked yummy, and the hip hop DJ for Sunday brunch was hyped. Can't wait to return to sample some of their signature drinks.

Went here last night with friends to pregame before a show at 9:30 club. The DJ was amazing! Wanted to stay there all night instead of the show. The bartenders were so friendly too. Cool atmosphere/decor. And their bar snacks looked good too. Definitely coming back!
Edit: [WAS] A great bar attached to a great music venue! Friendly staff, good beer selection, and surprisingly good pizza. And they [had] a good happy hour and fun events like drag bingo. And don't forget the adult milkshakes! Those [were] good for sharing.
Satellite room has great staff and awesome food! Their menu changed pretty recently but the pizza is fantastic and the tots are as they’ve always been - reliably delicious. If you’re in the mood for dessert, boozy milkshakes are a real plus. They’re also available in non-alcoholic if you’d prefer (but why?).
The boozy shakes are super tasty. The Cinnamon Toast Punch is a personal favorite of mine. Overall the food is OK. Never had a disappointing meal, but also haven't been blown away by anything I've tasted there.
Location is great for those times you want food or drinks either before or after a show at the 9:30 club, though it can get busy and noisy.
French toast here is out of this world! They use thick bread so it tastes a lot better than the thin sliced bread.
Came in on a Sunday and we were able to be seated right away. Service was super quick. I ordered two eggs, sausage and French toast. I can't remember the name of the meal itself but it was very good.
I also tried some of the pancakes which were gigantic! Those were tasty as well.
Prices are cheap and the food is great so all in all a nice breakfast spot in OC.
Never fails me. Great semi covered patio bar area that allows smoking (despite me not being a smoker). Their shakes are great, their boozy shakes are amazing! They got tater tots up the waz and I love em. It's a great neighborhood bar as well as pregame bar for those going to a gig at 9:30 club right next door. They even have a special if you show them ur ticket to the 930 they'll hook you up.
Cool space, we attended a Pride trivia night put on by Alliance for Justice. Awesome and safe queer space. We ordered a pizza, it was good, but it was just a touch over cooked. Even so, it seemed like that was purposeful, because it gave the pizza a distinct, crispy taste.
