The food is great, and there's a lot of fun options for burgers, shakes, etc. The service is great too. The food came quick, and the restaurant is very clean. It's a great location right next to the 9:30 Club.
Nice variety of beer on tap and bottled. great burgers and friendly servers.
I’ve been to tasty burgers many times. Those people serve the best burgers you could have in the DMV. The service is phenomenal. I’m always satisfied with their superb communication. The boss himself is very nice. I had my daughter with me one time and he would spend sometime talking to her. The last time I went there, he gave her a gift card which eventually paid for our dinner. All the waiters I met are awesome. You guys need to know that with these nice gestures you win customers for life. You build a great reputation for this business. Keep up the good work and will see you soon.
This burger place blows shake shack out of the water. It is not overpriced and they have a different layout as far as seating goes. The burgers are delicious and the shakes are perfect. I ordered the chilli cheese burger and a chocolate strawberry shake. I was full but after finishing my food I was set on going back and reordering the same thing. I give this place two thumbs up.
Service was very fast although I was one of two parties in the establishment. Still ... I’ve had slower and worse service being the ONLY patron inside a restaurant before.
Pricing is very reasonable given the norm in the District and surrounding area. However ... it’s like BurgerFI wherein your total cheque quickly escalates.
Burger itself was reasonably priced at $6.25 for a BBQ Onion Burger with Cheese. Burger itself is a cross between Little and Regular burger at Five Guys for reference. It’s a good size.
My bill came to 20.08 with tax. That included: Burger, small pile of onion rings, and a boozy adult shake White Russian. (6.25 + 3.25 + 8.25 + insane DC taxes).
Word of warning: Shakes are served STRONG. This is a great “inconvenience” in my opinion.
Even being fast casual / food, service was good throughout the visit. Multiple staff checked in on me to ask if everything was good.
Highly recommend, in the same class as Five Guys!!!
There are burger places all over but this is truly one of if not the best burgers in DC. Good flavor, fresh quality and definitely worth the money. Onion straws are excellent. The staff was excellent even people not working directly me took a moment to ask was everything OK. Beza was my server and was definitely on point.
This is a good place at an affordable price. I had walked by this place a few times, and today I decided to drop in. The service was good, the orders came out quickly, and the food was better than average. The have a turkey burger that was flavorful and the fries were plentiful. Your challenge will be parking. U Street is always packed, and parking enforcement will turn your simple night out into an expensive date. If you are up at #hu #howarduniversity Tasty Burger is a nice spot.
Tasty Burger is a nice little stop for quick, greasy food in this part of town. Staff are friendly and the space is nice -- the restaurant even has a sidewalk window for to-go orders, which is a great convenience. Location is a bit out of the way and prices are just a dollar or two high.
I stumbled across this place walking from U-Street Metro (I’m not from the area). I decided to give it a try and love it. The burgers are great! I usually get the turkey burger with onion rings. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I’m usually there when it’s not busy which is plus. I would definitely recommend this place.
Once you have the right expectations, this side street place won't disappoint. It's not a fancy gourmet wannabe and neither is it a place to grab a quick takeaway -- although they do have a to-go window expect to wait 10 minutes or so. It's somewhere in the middle. The burgers are solid, there is a pleasant bar that opens to the street and food orders take a bit to materialize. A British chap, Brian, is a really friendly. Other staff are matter of fact. A good piece of the puzzle in north Shaw.
