Boqueria Penn Quarter - Washington DC - Photo album

I've been meaning to write a review here for months now. This restaurant is amazing. Ambiance, affordability, menu, all A++! We got so much food, awesome value and the taste of everything was fresh, hot and delicious! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was positive and chill. Go and experien
Ambiance: Casual, calm, elegant Parking: Street meter parking is available Pricing: Somewhat cheap Food (flavors): I did not eat the pork or red meat based dishes. The mushroom balls were LOVELY; they were perfectly crisp on the outside and had a creamy texture on the inside with a subtle sweet flav
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Just visited Boqueria and OMG, it was an absolute delight! πŸ₯³ The PAELLA πŸ₯˜ was to die for - so flavorful and generously sized. Even for just the two of us, the medium was more than sufficient! πŸ½οΈπŸ‘ A minor note: the clams and mussels had a bit of a rustic taste, but it wasn't a big issue, just
Food was mixed. Best part of the meal for me was the Valenca. Citrus and cinnamon drink (non alcoholic). Made my mouth explode. I rate the Valencia as GREAT. polpo so so- was a bit chewy and no flavor. the fried potatoes were good.. eggplant was good shrimp was good. Spanish ham was excellen
The potato was average, and the serving of mushroom croquestas was a small serving to be sharable. Paella was very very delicious. I ordered large between two people and a lot was left so make sure you are hungry!
Got to enjoy some small plates filled with flavor and enough to try most of the menu. My waitress Laura was friendly and informative. She gave great recommendations for the drinks.
Short trip to DC. This restaurant was recommended by a few friends and it did not disappoint. If you like tapas, go! Drinks and food were both outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday night.
On May 16, 2023, we went to have a late lunch. The food is good for lunch, even if we only can order two tapas only. The manager (Kevin DeLong) and host(James Jackson) are nice and helpful, but the server, Kenny Valasquez needs to adjust his attitude and be a better server. Got a free dessert f
Great atmosphere and design. Wonderful service and good food. Went for a quick lunch and had the Croquetas de Jamon, Patatas Bravas, Maiz Rustido and the Zanahorias Con Mojo Verde (all were great). We also ordered the Alhambra 'Reserva' Roja and Sangria Blanca. Note, if you are coming with kids -
The food was really great. One of the best tapas we had. Beautiful interior and nice service.
I enjoyed this place over all! The tapas selections are great for those who have had the real deal in Spain and everything we plenty filling. I particularly enjoyed the croquetas and the lamb skewers One thing that kept this from a 5 was the lack of 1) A/C β€” it was unbearably hot where I was sittin
This was some of the best tapas I have ever had!! The shrimp (Gambas al Ajllo) was practically a SACRAMENT!! Laura our server was so friendly and explained things so well. It was truly spectacular!
Overall a very nice place to go if you are catching a concert. The service was really good. Food comes out quick. The food was tasty but I can't say I raved over anything. My favorite was the pineapple sangria. The atmosphere is nice too. I would go again.
Excellent tapas bar. They have a wide variety of tapas and a great wine selection. We opted for the Mediodia, which was a fixed price of $35/pp. That came with an appetizer to share, two tapas selections each, and an order of their amazing churros for dessert. The service was excellent, as was t
Let me start off by saying the staff and ambience are wonderful and review is based on those items. The seasonings just weren’t for my palate. We had the (in laymen's terms) meat and cheese board, corn, shrimp, octopus, and lamb meatballs. The corn was a little too lime forward, the octopus a litt
Very good tapas and service. Lively crowd makes it a great spot for dinner. The pros: the cold cuts and cheese plate, the octopus (although it was a bit chewy). The not so great: the croquetas were lukewarm, when they should have been hot, and the tortilla, albeit tasty, was cold - it should have be
Super cozy and cute. Friendly staff who are food allergy aware. Had the olives, bacon wrapped stuffed dates, and the roasted delicata squash with chorizo, hazelnuts, and spicy honey. So good!
Sister in law came into town so we all came here to have lunch. And this place didn’t disappoint. It’s tapas aka small plates but there portions are a little large then typical tapas. But it was delicious.
