Mate - Washington DC - Photo album

While we were thinking about what to eat when we came here to visit, we wanted sushi. We searched a lot but didn't come across a good place. We did not like the ambiance of the places we looked at with good points from the guide. Then we said let's try this place and it was great. They were very fri
Excellent sushi - very high quality, fresh and delicious. I was impressed to find such good sushi tucked away in this DC spot. Dinner is pricey, though, so be warned. Cocktails were excellent and well-made, with some fun flavors to try (passion fruit pisco was a hit!). Nice hip interior.
Had lunch here. Food and service were wonderful. Gave four stars because it’s slightly over priced but that’s also to be expected in Georgetown. Ordered Goyoza, 2 rolls and lots of nigiri. Would pass on the specialty uni it wasn’t great. But everything else was awesome including the pisco sour.
Last weekend, my family and I came to this place. At first I did not like the prices, but I changed my mind. I loved the service of the caterers. One of them treated me kindly,. He told me that he is from Morocco, and he was always smiling with us. I also loved the food and the music.
We had my birthday dinner here and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere feels upscale yet comfortable. The food was amazing, try the spicy tuna with crispy rice to start and the salmon belly nigiri was melt in your mouth good. Our server was Camila, she was amazing. She was prompt and made s
Chris, our bartender was warm and friendly. He shared his knowledge and made credible recommendations from the menu. Was there for lunch and really enjoyed my cocktail and food.
🍣I was craving good sushi so I asked around, a lot of friends suggested Susheria, however. They said that it's a tad bit overpriced, but it's good. 📞You do need a reservation, so I did, I really liked the place a lot, which is weird for me because I don't like crowded places where tables are closed
Absolutely excellent food, from the small plates, to the wagyu, everything was delicious. Really impressive and nuanced cocktails. The Mangetsu was such a delight, with very intense and complex flavors. Usually not a fan of rum but it wasn't heavy at all. Also liked the Hato, great presentation and
Beautiful restaurant, Exceptional staff and food! Loved the ambiance. Our waitress Pattie was phenomenal! She communicated effectively to us about our food, gave us recommendations, was patient and sincere in her service!! Thank you Pattie for being such a wonderful spirit! ❤️
The menu is a combo of sushi, ceviches, Peruvian inspired bowls with ravioli thrown in at the end. Very interesting mix of foods. Sushi rolls weren’t bad. The cocktail was good but pretty pricy. Our food order ended up lost in the stack and took a little longer to get. But the manager was very plea
Susheria is one of my favorite restaurants. My sister and I love this place. The food is always very delicious and the environment is always very presentable. I love their volcano rolls and their Aji de Gallina. - original review Update: The menu has definitely changed a lot; please bring back the
We were rescued! After a terrible partial dining experience across the street on the water, we walked into Susheria and had excellent service, rapid attention (though they were quite busy), and a beautiful meal, both taste and appearance: Sushi Fresca, Miso ( so toasty-tasting!), and wakeme salad.
Amazing food, but the prices are a little bananas considering the portion size. If you're going and would like to feel full, I would recommend budgeting around $40-$50 per person, give or take depending on age and appetite. We spent around $70 for two of us, and left feeling very hungry. We actually
Excellent bar. The cocktail menu was fun with a good selection. I appreciated the originality. Don’t miss out on the pisco sour drinks. I’ll come for dinner next time I visit.
Chris at the bar is awesome. Charismatic and very talented at making creative cocktails. Highly recommend!
Make a reservation before showing up on the weekend, this place was packed. Luckily we got 2 seats at the bar and the bartenders were awesome. They recommended a Japanese whiskey flight which was pretty cool. We got spicy edamame to start, and honestly can’t recall the name of the rolls but one was
This place is beautiful and has good sushi. We went for happy hour, they have a lounge area with <10 plush, intimate seats that we loved. Drinks were flavorful, strong, and unique with fusion flavors. It's definitely worth investigating! ig: @harshaeats
Really fun cuisine and flavors of the fusion come together in a really interesting way. Been here a few times and am usually pretty impressed with the quality compared to other sushi I have had in the area. Will have to come back to try Waygu since they were out this time. Lomo Saltado roll was sav
Some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, and awesome sushi. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here and the staff brought us an extra sushi roll as a gift. Even better, they brought her a desert platter complete with individual lava cake and candle. You can find great sushi lots
