Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The ingredients are so fresh and flavors absolutely amazing. I considered moving to DC just to be close enough to eat here multiple times a week.
Across the street from Corner Bakery and within walking distance of The Verizon Center. Yelpers are ridiculous. Not saying its world class cuisine, but the food is decent and the service is great. Great late night option, especially after drinks.
Good authentic Chinese food. Prices were good for the area. The area in general is pricey as it is a tourist area. The dishes came out quickly and tasted very good.
Mings is great. I'm a restaurant worker- we all love this place. Don't get thrown off by the idiots on here that love to complain about everything. This place is open until 5 am- of course they treat people according to their behavior. If I had to serve people this wasted all the time I would absolutely catch an assault charge. Act like an ass and you'll be treated like one. Don't like that policy? Eat somewhere else where us regulars won't have to hear or see you. The place is busy most of the time, they won't miss you. Works out better for everyone.
This award winning 5 star dining restaurant is Not Racist! I was saddened to see these acquisitions on Fox 5 News tonight and I can speak with confidence and encourage you to visit Ming’s Restaurant the next time you are in Chinatown.
I use to live in DC just a few blocks away and when they first opened myself and sometimes friends would visit here often. There was a period I would go here two or three times a week and be the only customer and the owner we called “mommy” treated me so well. Every time I go to DC and am in the mood for Chinese this is the only place I will go. Over the years I have told so many people to dine here and will continue to share my wonderful experiences.
I’m sorry that the group on Fox5 had a bad experience, however ; they are not racist.
Sounds like they had a bad server whose position may need to be re-evaluated.
I will always Love Ming’s Restaurant in DC

Food was good but, still a little pricey. 3 of us were looking for a place after 10pm that was open and decent. The food was great but, service was a little stiff in my opinion. overall i would recommend to anyone to try at least once.
Don't go here and be one of those douchers who gets chicken and rice. Get something unique that's legit Chinese food and you definitely won't be disappointed. I got the stir fried pork intestine and sour cabbage. Absolutely delicious!
The best sweet and sour chicken I've ever had. Wait staff could have been friendlier but it might have been because I went at an off hour. Overall I would revisit.
Food okay, served fast. If you want 5 stars then tell your wait staff to respond when you say "bye". Don't know why the man was so unfriendly, maybe his cat died or whatever
Is it late at night? Has DC been hit by a snow storm? Is there not a sign of life for miles around? Head to Ming's. They're always open - it's there motto. Great service, typical Chinese dining and any drink you could want (limited beer selection). Also nice to experience China town.
While sake-drunk enough to satisfy all required elements of the 1L public drunkenness statute of Georgetown Law, I left my brand-new, shiny, beautiful, technologically flawless, basically-the-best-phone-that-ever-existed Samsung Galaxy S3 in their bathroom and stumbled out. More than an hour or two later, way past their closing time, I realized in horror my egregious failure at life and called Ming's in utter desperation (I was, like, finals-desperate).
Well, ladies, and gentlemen, I have only one word to describe the staff at Ming's (owner and her family?): angels. On their way home (VA?), they literally DROVE my phone to my apartment, three blocks away from the restaurant, at, like, 3 in the morning! I offered them $20 in compensation (I would have gladly paid more) but they absolutely refused. Like I said... Angels! Don't be offended by their lack of sweet-talking; that's just the culture. They truly are angels in disguise! My S3 and I are forever indebted to their generosity.
Plus, awesome sake. What more can you ask? <3

Late night American Chinese food??? 5 STARS! Plus, they have a flaming cocktail that is super delicious. I probably wouldn't eat here during normal lunch or dinner hours though... it just doesn't seem like it'd be as satifying as General Tsos at 3am.
