El Bebe

Had a really nice experience at Él Bebe last night for dinner. My wife and I went for a night out just on a whim. We had no problem getting a table (especially for a busy Saturday night) but we did have to wait for a bit before our server came over. She was very nice and took our drink and appetizer order quickly after she did come over. The food and drinks were really good. We ordered the spicy margarita and it had a nice subtle kick to it. The guacamole was good with a nice hint of lime to it. Our meals were great. I ordered the birria tacos and they were definitely top five of the places I’ve had them. The shells were fried to perfection and the meat was tender and flavorful. My wife had the chicken enchiladas and couldn’t finish them because the portion was so big. Definitely no complaints about our meals. My only complaint is the price for what you get. We paid almost $20 for the tacos and most places will typically charge $4-$5 less, while also being a little bit bigger. Also, $16 for a margarita seems a little steep even for DC. Not a deal breaker but definitely could have been a little less.

A modern Mexican joint right off Main. At a lunch meal, the staff sat us promptly and continued to be attentive through the meal. I enjoyed the tacos al pastor plate, which came with a small cup of beans and rice. The pork was fantastically tender, but I feel that the flavor could have used more intensity. Overall I enjoyed the visit.

Mexican food!!! YUMM!! everything was so good, inside was very clean + including the bathroom, very cute decor. Affordable drinks in DC is always a plus. Server was very nice & very attentive to our table. Shrimp Quesadilla taste extremely fresh..and came out piping hot. Added jalapeño and it topped it off! Highly recommend this meal

I love love love love this place and they love love love their customers. They're very very good and respectful they have great fooh. I'm the girl that always come in with the scooter. And I have a perfect place for a while pick up my order. Diamond hen is amazing good customer service I recommend this restaurant To god so that means I recommend this restaurant To everybody is amazing you will love it Is great art work Great lighting

I love this place. Love. It. Every experience with food and service is top notch. My reviews show I'm not a 5-star rater but El Bebe deserves it. My photo is of sangria which isn't on the menu but I asked and they made me. Came two weeks with seven people, great. Came today with nine people, great. Recommendation for three people... Order different tacos and share, you won't be disappointed.

Now I very rarely leave a review on places I visit. However…..I have never had Mexican food on the level that I had this evening! We started off with street corn which came in less than 5 mins. Absolutely delicious! Next we had chicken quesadillas and the crispy shrimp tacos. Nothing was left on our plates ! Next we had not one but two orders of the churro donuts with the Mexican chocolates! Jordan was our server and Miguel was the bartender! They provided excellent customer service. Definitely will be back !

Absolutely great place to eat. The hostess quickly seated us although I would recommend reservations if you think of it ahead of time. The staff were attentive. Our water glasses were kept cold and full. The Chicken fajita was a good size and flavorful. The Chicken Tinga burrito is HUGE. So good. Brought home more than half of it. Highly recommend for a nice enjoyable night out.
