Loved the lunch special! The seafood paella was so yummy! And the frozen margaritas... The bomb!!!

Good & generous food portions. Chips are extra thin and crispy (like communion wafers). Well made margaritas. Dessert could have been better. Great friendly and fast service makes up for any shortcomings. Overall fun evening and worth a try, especially if attending a show at Gala or Tivoli Theaters next door.

I have had a fabulous experience here with my family. We had amazing food served quickly and nicely. The man made guacamole right in front of us so it was fresh and a pleasure to watch. The drinks were great, staff very friendly, and a very nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place and would most definitely go here again if I was in Washington D.C. The food is also very good value for what they bring. So much food for a cheap price! Kids menu is also great! Another wonderfully fabulous thing is the adult menu, which is very large with a massive variety of things to choose from. The most I've ever had to choose from at a Mexican restaurant.

This was our last option for dinner, but because we were a large group with many differing dietary needs, we ultimately settled on this place. And was it worth it! The food was excellent - our party tried everything from the steaks to the fajitas - and everybody left happy. The staff is generous with the chips and salsa - to the point where we almost had no space for the main course. The staff were excellent and friendly, and the evening was splendid.

Delicious Mexican food, good drinks. Decorations are friendly without being tacky. Go for happy hour to save money, good deals on both drinks and appetizers. Regular dinner prices are a little high for the neighborhood, but the portions are huge and food is delicious. Most dishes served with really tasty rice and beans with ample guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Try one of the burritos, chicken, shredded beef and seafood are all very good. Always leave satisfied. Service is good and manager almost always comes by the table to check on things.

A very comfortable warm and cozy place, great for groups, lunch dates, coffee and other libations, if you choose. The food is Latino and deliciously inviting. The lunch specials are large and filling. The dinner menu has something for everyone even vegans. For the happy hour crowd, there is a happy hour special every day. It is one and a half blocks from the Columbia station metro. Great place to celebrate everything. In the summer through fall, one can be seated at table outside, sip, dine and people watch the day and evening away! Or go shopping across the street one block up. There is a parking garage there also.

This is my favorite Hispanic restaurant. Their menu has so many options and the frozen margaritas are the best in the city. The glasses are really big. They also have a TVs in there if that’s what u are into when you eat. Excellent customer service!

I went here for happy hour with a few friends. The food and drinks were both good, and it was pretty empty. Service was quick and responsive, but not overbearing. The happy hour prices and selections could be better, and I wish the happy hour menu was available at a table, but overall I had a good experience.

The 4 stars is heavily weighed by the good happy hour. If it's not happy hour, then a solid 3. I've been pleased by the service every time I've come here. Non happy hour means $8 captain Morgan shots and other drink prices that are similarly ridiculous, even for D.C. standards. If you don't drink alcohol, then you should be more inclined to come here because the food is good. The guacamole that they make fresh in front of you is amazing and worth every penny. Also had the tacos al carbon. Thing to note: their happy hour time changes daily and they write it on their chalkboard out front which is cool because sometimes it's 3-6 and sometimes it's 7-10.

Tio's is a better experience, the food is of better quality and is real pleasant if you sit outside in the patio, wheather permitting. Service is good and you ways have the manager and owner handy to tend to yo our needs. One of my favorite dishes is the BBQ and Shrimp fajitas. And the lime frozen margarita with salt is nothing short of spectacular!
