Impala Cantina Y Taqueria - Washington DC - Photo album

Great drinks and the guac was on point...The rest of the food was good but not great and there was only one person working so it took a little while but it looked like she was trying.
Really friendly staff. Really good food. It has an outdoor area with brick walls and a lot of character. They have a lot of good specials and happy hour deals there. My wife and I usually go there around 5-6 pm and I bring our 1 year-old in his stroller.
This is the best taco joint on H Street (there are a few). We no longer live in the neighborhood and we still go out of our way to eat here. All of their food is fantastic, from the home made tortilla chips and homemade guacamole to the mouthwatering, juicy tacos AND margaritas made with fresh squee
Stopped in on a friday night with no reservations. Place was medium busy, so we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about the several different tequilas we were tasting. Chips and guacamole were fresh and tasty. The entrees were also delici
This is restaurant is awesome. They have a very nice lady making tortillas right on the spot.
In DC, this is the most authentic cuisine from central Mexico. Corn tortillas are handmade in house. Chips are rustic (thick cut) and fried on location. Guacamole is chunky and flavorful. Margaritas are mixed with lime juice instead of a sweet mixer. Ask the bartender if you like yours sweet, an
Stopped in on a recommendation from someone in the neighborhood. The food is so full of flavor and the margaritas are some of the best I have ever had! Great wait staff and bartenders. Just a great experience all around!
The tacos are supreme. Guacamole is nice and chunky. Some great selections of tequila and mezcal on hand and more on the way. Highly recommended! Friday and Saturday nights are open late to satisfy those taco cravings.
I love the margaritas here and the chips and salsa. The tacos are also great, I usually get steak or chicken, the pork, and the pork belly ones. Almost all of the menu is gluten free too!
Solid. Excellent drinks. Great chips, guacomole, and salsa. They make their own tortillas and tortilla chips. They are very good. Mole chicken wings were delicious. Also ordered pork belly and lengua tacos. Both needed a bit of salt but the tongue was amazing. Pork belly taco was just ok. It needed
Nice menu. Owner learned his craft in San Diego area and brought it here. Must start with the guacamole and chips. Baja fish tacos were authentic. Caesar salad is their own take on the original Tijuana recipe. We are visiting DC from Oceanside CA and know Mexican food. Would come back again.
Habanero margarita was legit- spicy and delish. Salsa is some of the best I’ve had in this town. Made from scratch tortillas, and fantastic flavors, made the brunch very memorable. Neighborhood gem that will definitely return for.
Impala is a great local spot! The margaritas are refreshing and the tacos are super tasty. My girlfriend and I had our first date there, so it'll always be extra special.
The chips and guacamole are worth it all by themselves! A huge portion, so be careful if you go on to order some tasty tacos... Two is about right. The braised pork is my favorite.
