I absolutely loved the food. The service was on point and ask for Phillip when you go in he makes the best drinks. Not to mention he is Finnnnnnne!
So excited that Impala is open in our neighborhood. The brunch on Sunday was great!!We can't wait until the patio opens!! Great space, great food!
Great drinks and the guac was on point...The rest of the food was good but not great and there was only one person working so it took a little while but it looked like she was trying.
Really friendly staff. Really good food. It has an outdoor area with brick walls and a lot of character. They have a lot of good specials and happy hour deals there. My wife and I usually go there around 5-6 pm and I bring our 1 year-old in his stroller.
This is the best taco joint on H Street (there are a few). We no longer live in the neighborhood and we still go out of our way to eat here. All of their food is fantastic, from the home made tortilla chips and homemade guacamole to the mouthwatering, juicy tacos AND margaritas made with fresh squeezed lime juice. They also have cute outside patio area where you can sit on a nice day. All around win.
Stopped in on a friday night with no reservations. Place was medium busy, so we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about the several different tequilas we were tasting. Chips and guacamole were fresh and tasty. The entrees were also delicious with amazing flavor. *Bottom line: delicious and authentic mexican flavors served in a chill setting with an amazing tequila selection.*

In DC, this is the most authentic cuisine from central Mexico. Corn tortillas are handmade in house. Chips are rustic (thick cut) and fried on location. Guacamole is chunky and flavorful. Margaritas are mixed with lime juice instead of a sweet mixer. Ask the bartender if you like yours sweet, and he/she will hook you up. I recommend the enchiladas and specifically the mole. They have veggie options, too. This restaurant aims to please, so ask away.
Stopped in on a recommendation from someone in the neighborhood. The food is so full of flavor and the margaritas are some of the best I have ever had! Great wait staff and bartenders. Just a great experience all around!

The tacos are supreme. Guacamole is nice and chunky. Some great selections of tequila and mezcal on hand and more on the way. Highly recommended! Friday and Saturday nights are open late to satisfy those taco cravings.
I love the margaritas here and the chips and salsa. The tacos are also great, I usually get steak or chicken, the pork, and the pork belly ones. Almost all of the menu is gluten free too!
Solid. Excellent drinks. Great chips, guacomole, and salsa. They make their own tortillas and tortilla chips. They are very good. Mole chicken wings were delicious. Also ordered pork belly and lengua tacos. Both needed a bit of salt but the tongue was amazing. Pork belly taco was just ok. It needed salt and didn't have a ton of flavor. Enchiladas were tasty. My sister i law is vegan and they had excelled options for her. She really liked her food. My wife has celiac disease and they easily accomadated her with tasty gluten free options. We have been here twice and had good experiences both times. We will be back. Oh and the outdoor seating is very comfortable and nice.
