Sauf Haus Bier Hall & Garden - Washington DC - Photo album

They have beer food, beer, and wine. The place is all stairs… so many stairs… pretzel is not bad. And at 2 pm on a Saturday, the mosh pitees come to drink and partee.
Enjoyed this spot for an after work Happy Hour. From what I could tell they have two areas, upstairs and downstairs, so they were able to accommodate a large group of 15+ without any issues. Decent food options alongside the typical bar fare. The pretzels 'by the pound' were amazing served with four
Loved that everyone was singing with the band. Dancing was great, got sexier after midnight. Staff was helpful. Nice bartenders. They hid my friend's purse because they thought it looked vulnerable. Kept it safe. Pepperoni pretzel is yummy. Stayed all night. Younger group but we had some mid thirtie
Really fun happy hour spot! Amazing pretzels and great beer. I wish they had more food options but you can just walk down the street if you get hungry for dinner.
The vibes are really nice here. Love how they have a middle area and roof top. Went on a Tuesday and they had open mic with music and a gentleman was performing with a great voice. The beers give you a brewery type of flavor they do not house regular outside beer as I was trying to order a Miller Li
I went to this place two nights in a row. It has a strong happy hour and tends to clear out after dinner. I was one of the few people at the rooftop area at one point. There are multiple floors here but they aren't always open. Be sure and go all the way up to the top to get to the rooftop. The
We were there for a private event on the top level. Not sure, but probably 40ish people. Long bar, with I think 4 bartenders. A buffet on the other side of the room, and true to form bierhaus tables and benches. I was impressed by the music as well. Loud enough to create some buzz, but not loud eno
Great beer selection, fresh, and properly poured although if you are into proper glassware for things other than lagers you may have quibbles. Biergarten? Nah. More like beer hall slash sports bar, which is great too. It’s like one of those psuedo-Irish bar places but with German beer. Issues. Web
Popped in to watch some football. Kevin was super friendly and got the game up on the big screen for us. Great beer selection too!
Returned here for the first time since the pandemic. It is just like how I remembered it! I had forgetten how affordable a varied the beer options were. It is so great for groups too. Please note that you have to walk up stairs in order to get to the main floors.
Good German beer and decent food but the prices are a shock for any German. Considering we pay around 4$ for 0.5l in Germany the prices are a bit steep but since I can’t get any good beer anywhere else in this country it’s definitely worth it!!
Really cool beer hall on the 3rd floor with tons of great German beers. The skylights make it nice to go during the day, you feel like you're outside without having to worry about impending rain. I think the bartender may have given us a different beer than one that we ordered, but they were all sti
We went to saufhaus on a Saturday at around 4pm and it was packed! The dj was good but the music was way too loud and our ears were ringing for days afterwards. The drinks are expensive (about $13 for a small mixed drink and $13 for a beer) since tip was already included. Overall the rooftop was pre
Never had their food, but late night on weekends is busy. Live music and dancing. Usually a pretty young crowd as well!
The pretzel and beer were delicious and all I really went for… but definitely a very clubby vibe for a “beer garden”… deafening EDM started by 2:00p.. but who needs to talk when your mouth is busy eating and drinking?
