Cute little place. We had the chicken arugula with baked mozzarella. We also had the burger. I'm giving them 4.5 because the burger states it comes with pork belly. It only came with bacon. But everything was fresh and delicious.

Friendly and attentive staff that aren't overbearing. Had to ask for no broccoli and they gave me a wonderful salad instead without a question for no additional charge. Drinks were on point!

In the context of neighborhood places, Salt & Pepper is a nice place - good bar, good windowline, big patio w tables and sofas, plus more private booth tables in the interior.
Offerings are fairly broad: mains include crab cakes, salmon steak, scallops, steaks, lamb chops and nicely done.
Also offers burgers (incl good veggie burger), flat bread pizzas, pastas and sandwiches.
Price points are moderate & Monday 1/2 price bottles of wine make it good.
Overall, relaxing, pleasant, easy and friendly.

The staff there are so welcoming! Our family had a great time. Our initial plans fell through and they were available for us last minute. Im glad we ended up choosing this restaurant. Food tasted great! Will be back!

The restaurant manager warmly welcomed us into the restaurant one rainy evening and sat us down in a comfortable booth. He clearly ENJOYS meeting new people and developing a relationship with his customers.
The service was EXCELLENT as was the food--salads, Italian, burgers, etc. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly.
I live in Florida and come to D.C.to visit my son, an AU graduate. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for its food quality, prices, and overall pleasurable neighborhood eating experience.

The food was great, but the owner was fantastic!!!!! He was exceptionally friendly and went over and above for our 3 children and the mothers for our Mother's day brunch.

Pizza was great, and the dessert was fantastic. The manager was very friendly and talkative. I especially like the view of MacArthur from the nice big windows where we were sitting. I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

wonderful food. Home made pasta, organic vegetables etc. Cozy seating in booths with pillows. Also outdoor dining in good weather.
Extensive menu. Very child friendly. Brunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is excellent.
