Open piano night are Wednesdays, it's amazing seeing the skill and talent!!!! Such a cool environment. On a super busy night, it was really crowded. There's extra seating on the third floor and you can hear/ watch the musicians below.

Incredible little bar. Friendly atmosphere, great prices, and a good cause. I was new in DC and decided to try this bar and it was such a wonderful experience! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a down to earth and relaxing bar.

One of my five or six favorite bars in the U.S. This is a non-profit bar that uses its money to help build schools in historically marginalized and under-resourced regions of the world. Great (great) beer, plus a one of a kind vibe. Good food too. Service is phenomenal. Love the no cell phone and no standing rules. All about good conversations and being present.

This place is the definition of finding an awesome hole in the wall. It’s a non-profit pub that helps build schools and has raised $600,000+ for people in Africa. The atmosphere is really cool and cozy. They have unique beers and house-made moonshine. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially for DC. Def a locals spot, I will be back!!!

My husband and I absolutely adore The Saloon, as well as Keenan and Commy! They have a great selection of draft beer and moonshine, and the fries are always fresh and crunchy. We highly recommend making this your go-to bar and the best part — they are a nonprofit that builds schools all over the world! Our friends recently bought us a “brick” for our wedding gift and we couldn’t be more honored. 🥰🥰

Walk down a few steps into a place where Belgian Trappists meet Syrian/Ethiopian clerics for a Cold brew, garlic fried favas, and perhaps a game of backgammon. No martinis and no TV! Keep your phone in your pocket. Luxurious service. Exotic and extensive beer list plus moonshine & classical music. Open your heart.
