The food was great when we came for dinner. The 10% service fee is very confusing. We didn’t know how much to tip on top of that. Going to dinner shouldn’t be a guessing game and it’s arguably poor service to put guests in this position. Just raise the prices or charge a 20% service fee but don’t expect a tip.

Great date night spot. Everything we tried was delicious! Service was top notch.

Nice spot to pick up a coffee to go. They have a better feel than Tatte since it’s a local coffee shop/restaurant. My current favorite drink is Autumn Spice Latte. You can actually taste the spices and the pumpkin. Although, it is a bit on the pricer end than other local coffee around the Mount Pleasant area since they charge you a 10 % service fee on every transaction. Understandable since the economy is not favorable for the working class and Elle seems to take good care of their employees.

Their coffee is amazing! Love their latte. There is no Wifi in this place. I want to try their lunch/dinner. Awesome local favorite.

Elle has such a beautiful space to meet up with friends or enjoy solo! Their staff is super friendly and welcoming. I tried their BBQ Tempeh burger and I was amazed by how delicious it was! I definitely recommend stopping by here to enjoy their food and space!

I've never enjoyed much of urban culture and normal foods made to be unique, though I can say that the atmosphere were very respectful and the service was attentive and kind.
The coffee was good, I got a latte with vanilla syrup. I also got their quiche food option, it was good, warm, filled with flavor. However I am not a big fan of goat cheese so it lacked that small bit for me!
I would go here again and even recommend it for others.

The breakfast sandwich is fantastic!!! And good coffee too. I haven’t eaten dinner here in a long time so I’ll have to come back to dine soon. But I recall loving the food here. Lovely space in one of the best neighborhoods in DC.

Fantastic! We loved everything we ordered. The halibut was divine. The vegetable forward options were excellent, and the sourdough bread was perfection. We’ll definitely be going again!

We are so happy that Ellē made our wedding cake. Since our venue was providing dessert as part of a three-course meal to our guests, we wanted a small cake for ceremonial cutting. I primarily worked with Lizzie, who was so easy to work with. We had a delicious cake that looked beautiful at an excellent price. I would highly recommend their cakes for any special occasion!

Delicious food! Ellē is a popular breakfast/lunch spot in mt. pleasant that I’ve been wanting to try. We came on a Saturday morning so it was pretty busy. Seating is first come first serve. I went with their yogurt with housemade granola, an orange almond rosemary coffee cake and an iced miso caramel latte. My friend got their breakfast sandwich and a hot miso caramel latte. They also had fresh sourdough that I was tempted to try, but hope to grab one next time.
My yogurt and granola bowl was delicious! The homemade granola really makes a difference, and the jam that came with it was amazing. The coffee cake was also so unique. The orange flavor was subtle but sweet enough, and cake itself was really soft and fresh. For my latte the flavor was very faint. I could barely taste the caramel or miso in it, which is a bummer because I was looking forward to trying it.
Overall this was a great breakfast spot to meet a friend or even to grab something to go! Be sure to come early on weekends to avoid longer lines and easily grab a table.
