Finally great pizza! This place is 20 minutes from our house but well worth the drive. Delicious pizza with a substantial crust. Meat lovers had a slightly spicy sausage which gave it a nice little kick. And the amount of outdoor seating was great too. We called ahead for pickup and we’re able to carry our box to an outdoor table and eat there. Definitely recommend!
Best pizza I’ve had in DC. Parking isn’t too bad and the restaurant is very clean with friendly staff.
Wonderful family friendly pizza place. Makes me feel like I’m back home. This pizza is fresh and so good! 10/10 recommend. I can’t wait until I’m off my diet to eat more.
Delicious New Haven style pizza. By the slice or whole it is a must try. Slices as cheap as $5.80!!!
Last lived in CT and came to DC about three years ago. Finally tried this place and it's excellent! While it's not quite as good as Frank Pepes (the original in New Haven and now in Bethesda and Alexandria) it's certainly close.
We had the Wooster Square and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The pizza in the DC area is unimpressive to say the least but this place is like a breath of fresh air. Try it you'll like it.
Delicious pizza with thin crust. Fresh salad ingredients with tasty sauce. Great outdoor atmosphere.
My 3 star food rating isn't meant to be a strike against the quality of food. It's just that a 5 star rating would put it among the very best, but those are huge shoes to fill and I'd be doing a disservice to the true and authentic NY pizza. I'd be willing to tack on an additional half star for this, but unfortunately, Google only rates in full star increments. I liked the pizza a lot, and look forward to another visit.
I have been searching for the best New Haven style apizza for many years. I live in Annapolis and recently purchased a vehicle at a dealership in Bethesda. I had time to burn and when I searched for the best pizza near me I came across Pete’s.
I was eager to indulge in my favorite style pizza so I stopped in for lunch. Dare I say, I was not prepared for the pure awesomeness of Pete’s. It’s one of my top 5 pizza joints in Maryland. The food and service were extraordinary and I will be a repeat customer when I get my car serviced.
Really neat neighborhood spot. Although an outsider, I sensed that most of the patrons were locals. Pretty cool. Service hit and miss. Be sure to grab your utensils if eating in as they will not accompany food orders. In fact, you may get a curt look/response when you ask upon receiving a heaping bowl of pasta (which was really good). I wouldn’t ordinarily complain about service but since they tack on an extra 20% “dine-in hospitality fee” plus prompt for tip, I think it should be known that service isn’t always with a smile. Do better Pete’s and I will review accordingly. Peace.
Loved the new Haven style pizzas and my friend who was vegan also had vegan pizza with a choice!
The chicken wings and the pizza with clams were so good and tasty!
