Beautiful bar in a historic hotel. The lamb chops (Xmas menu) were so good, meat cooked to perfection with the well prepared sauce and sweet and fresh asaragus and our son loved his chicken wings a lot. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed here for 4 days and had breakfast and dinner here almost everyday. Breakfast coffee is very good, the banana bread is one of the best in my opinion, other things are also good but not as impressive. We love the Tuna nacho in dinner menu, it comes with mango bites and seaweed. Avoid wild mushrooms in the sides, it’s not washed well so I got some sands with every bite… flavor was good but I won’t try again… Service was lovely, they told us where Edgar Hoover sat and let us took a peak into the that area. Price is very decent, for a nice hotel restaurant. We’ll come back again. :)

This restaurant is located in the Mayflower hotel. The hosts were always very accommodating and gave me some really great seats even though I was dining alone. I think a lot of business people stay here because there were a lot of single tables. The food was great! I had a few breakfasts and lunches while staying at the hotel. The servers were very attentive. My only issue was at one dining there were fruit flies landing on my food. I was seated at a table near the bar and I think they were coming from there. It only happened once out of a few dining experiences, but once with a bug landing on your food is enough to warrant a lost star. Other than than I would have giving five stars. Maybe next time.

Solid choice for food when you are staying at the hotel. Let’s face it, convenience is everything and while the restaurant is not perfect, they do a great job with their food. The restaurant is pretty clean but has lots of nooks and crannies which make navigation confusing. The staff is friendly but they seem to be a little disorganized. Food was always properly prepared and came within a reasonable time. The menu was limited but everyone found something. The alcoholic beverages on the menu were creative and they were well made along with the standards that we tried from the bar. Beer selection seems limited for a metro area.

The Mayflower Hotel’s main lobby bar and restaurant. While it shares the same name as my father-in-law that is about it for this place. We stayed at the Mayflower and had drinks and desserts while waiting for dinner reservations at another place. My wife got an espresso martini that she very much enjoyed and I got a Non-alcoholic beer that hit the spot also. We chose their cheesecake and it was nothing special but tasted good. If you are staying at the mayflower it makes a perfectly fine main lobby bar or room service burger but that’s about it. I’d skip this place if it’s a date night or you only have a few days in town.

Had a great time here grabbing a drink in between events at the Mayflower Hotel. The Edgar Bar is a nice sophisticated spot within the Mayflower Hotel for a drink in the Washington DC area.

Vegetarian perspective Hotel restaurant, so atmosphere was as expected. Only vegetarian entree was a pasta (ravioli), but it was good and a good portion size. For a more upscale hotel restaurant, would have liked a more creative vegetarian/vegan entree. Nothing vegan except salad. Liked the elote appetizer. Quick service
