Sat at the bar. Bartender was awesome. Food what’s phenomenal. Had some sort of a sweet potato hummus. The pita was exceptional. Also had the lamb chops. Out of this world.

It is a gem in hip Dupont Circle neighborhood! Not just food and wine are fabulous and authentic, but the seatings feel so cozy and intimate, although it is such a big restaurant. The service is wonderful. You cannot ask for more!

My first real brush with Mediterranean food. I could tell it was very good, despite not being my usual flavor palette, especially recommend the baba ganoush and zaatar pita. The shrimp was so so. Also unfortunately I did witness some small animal go up the leaf vines into the rafters, I think it was a mouse so i hope they can clean that up. All in all very impressed and would go again.

The Kouign-Amann pastry I tried, called Lavender Fields, was one of the best I've had in the city. It had lavender and lemon zest, and an incredible cream filling more like frosting or butter, not custard. The prices on everything here are steep! They also don't offer any tea drinks. My friend ordered a tumeric latte without the coffee and it was only half full, like they didn't change the recipes to account for not having coffee ( like add two shots of milk!?) But the price was the same. Hopefully they will offer better alternatives. My latte was fine but not spectacular. Great seating both indoor and outdoor, looks like they also do brunch, not just cafe service.

Definitely the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful day especially for their happy hour specials. I haven’t come across many eateries that have happy hour starting at 2 pm. The cocktails and apps on the happy hour menu were amazing. Especially the Baba Ganoush, it was creamy and had enough flavors to still have the eggplant stand out. The ambiance both inside and outside is nicely done. Outside you feel like you are at a posh garden patio while inside it’s very chic. Did look into their dinner menu and they had lots of great options so will be stopping by soon to try them out. PS the servers here are super friendly and efficient.

First time visiting, great little Mediterranean restaurant, viaited with friends. We had the dips sampler to share which was amazing, the eggplant dish was great, and the grains were very tasty as well. Highly recommend for vegetarians or healthy eating in general.

Our experience at Ala was exquisite! I highly recommend getting Alp as your server. He was truly the best! Alp made sure we were taken care of and had the greatest dining experience. Their food was delicious and delectable. Can’t wait to come back.

Very nice brunch. Make you own mimosas is nice with sparking (on the sweet side) but plenty of options. The food was well presented and it was a lot of food.
