Simply the best restaurant I have been to for a long time. I almost felt that I was back in Europe. Atmosphere is so wonderful. The food is mind-blowing, and the service is knowledgeable and fantastic. I am running out of superlatives. Go, you won't regret it.
It's difficult to start this, first because there is not 7 star rate, second because as a European trained Chef I have to say this is very excellent Belgian-french top class.
But let's started.
Me and my wife has the chance to sit outside at the terrace, we come here for brunch Amazing.
Then we get a fresh baguette with butter.
A huge variety of Belgium beer 🍺
The wine menu same as France.
The food my personal scale as a Chef 0 to 10 Star ⭐
The onion soup 🍲 (20 Star ⭐ rate)
Warm goat cheese salad (10 Star ⭐ rate)
Roaster herb's chicken with aus jus (15 Star ⭐ rate)
Beef burger 🍔 (15 Star ⭐ rate)
Excellence guest service

Amazing excellent experience

Super mega highly recommended
Et Viola is fantastic! The menu has a little something for everyone, and all with a Belgian flair — pasta dishes, seafood, mussels and more. We went on a Sunday evening around 6 and were surprised to see just how busy the place was. It’s clearly a mainstay for folks living around MacArthur Blvd. Definitely try the French onion soup!
Fabulous upscale restaurant with superb service and amazing food. You'll be glad you came, and if it's your first time, wonder why it took so long to find this spot! Tres magnifique. Went for a birthday dinner, and Et Voila did not disappoint. Of course, the company we were with made it extra special. The beet salad and French onion soup were delicious. The Belgian beef stew (corbonnade a la Flamand) and their branzino filet were amazing. The beef melted in your mouth. For desert, the Alex Cake (essentially mousse aux chocolat) and the profiterols were scrumptious. More appetizers and entrees to try at our next visit.
Had a Fantastic meal I got the Trout W/ spinach my friend had the beet salad and cold eggplant soup, topped off with chocolate mouse 2spoons and Marvin was very very friendly and busy and kept us very satisfied!! See Voila soon.
A nice intimate restaurant with a good tasting menu. The drink selection is no joke, wide selection, tasty, and a drink at most price points. The main meal was tasty, but the desert was really the highlight for us. So good, forgot to take pictures. I guess I'll have to go back again.
Very impressed with this place, and I don’t say that lightly. As someone who prefers fish instead of steak for dinner, I’ve had a lot of branzino from places all over the world and this was one of the best I’ve had in my life.
We also shared the mussels which of course were delicious, and the rigatoni pasta with veal and pork was perfect, worth elaborating on. The sauce has the full flavor, hearty and homey, the tomato so robust it’s popping out, but blending so well with the recipe and the softness of the pork and veal. Strong recommend for soft quiet elegant refined atmosphere, and quality food at appropriate prices.
Excellent food and service makes for a very cozy dining experience. The staff was friendly and patient while my daughter was having issues making up her mind. My wife loved the French Onion soup as it was made properly with veal stock.
Wonderful lunch! I was greeted like I had just come home after a long trip…would have gotten a kiss had I not had my mask on. The beet salad with grapefruit was an amazing start and the bolognese was a perfect match with the Pinot Noir. I am not sure what took me so long to come. I will be back.
I went back the dinner with my wife. We started with the country pate. She has the NY Strip and they were kind enough to substitute the dish with mashed potatoes & spinach. I had the Duck casserole with a lovely bean baked into the dish. We shared a tasty fig dessert and I had an espresso. Wonderful service again.
Salmon appetizer was lovely. Warm bread was excellent. Mussels were disappointing...big squishy fleshy ones instead of the small orange ones which are the best in my humble opinion. Fries were yummy but could have had some more salt. Basic wines by the glass (sauvignon blanc and rose) were very nice! Dessert - floating island-way too cloyingly sweet and creamy sauce. Tiny square "island" that was gone in 3 bites. Why be so stingy with egg whites? Water served at room temperature with no ice. Took a while for the wine to arrive so that you could pair it with the food. Otherwise service was pleasant and attentive. Overall disappointing, considering I this restaurant was recommended as one of the best in DC. Maybe we just picked the wrong items? Looks like the other items on the menu got more rave reviews than the mussels. We'll try that next time.
