I had a great time enjoying Sequoia's Sunday brunch. Their food quality and variety were excellent, wait staff were impeccable with service, and the atmosphere hip and festive. The price though was a little high in my opinion for what they had to offer, and the festive atmosphere and setting can get a bit too loud and raucous to hear your party talking. Overall a phenomenal dining experience, food quality, and choice of selection.
We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside on their expansive patio. The weather was perfect & the views, glorious. Our food was very well prepared. The shrimp cocktail was perfect, so tasty. The mixed seafood salas had fresh ingredients & was delicious. The portions were large but as it was all so good, we almost finished everything. Our shared desert ended a wonderful meal. Our server was friendly, helpful & efficient. I look forward to a return visit!
We got there around past 1pm, and fortunately, we still had 1 hr before the service ended at 230pm. The waiter that attended to us was nice, and the food was brought to our table in quick progression. The patio outside overlooking the waters/harbor gave us a nice view.
Parking in the nearby garage was $16 for the Saturday, and we only had to walk about 2-3mins to the harbor.
Brunch for 2 over $140
Overall, I'll recommend and would definitely be back.
I come to this location often, the shrimp cocktail always hits. This last time I also ordered the snow crabs and they were impossible to eat, fell apart inside the shell so idk if it’s the quality or the age of the crab but for the price it was not worth it. The seabass wasn’t that good either, I didn’t finish my meal. But the decorations for the holidays are really nice! For dessert, don’t get the meringue.
An amazing waterfront restaurant! Attended my birthday here and was absolutely amazed! Service was wonderful and the restaurant was a nice environment with a great view. Our food was spectacular, the calamari, oysters and our entrees were delicious! The sangria hit the spot as well. I would recommend this restaurant to all !!
I chose Sequoia DC to propose to my fiancée las night! I discreetly gave the guest receiving host, Charmaine, a heads up of my intentions and she immediately let me know that they would look out for us. When the big moment came, Charmaine led us to the best view in the house for me to propose. It was absolutely beautiful! The entire restaurant cemented our special night with a champagne toast and dessert. I am so glad I chose this beautiful restaurant and that their friendly staff helped to make this an unforgettable night for both of us! Thank you so very much!!
Sequoia DC was truly impressive. From the exquisite cuisine, the impeccable service, and the beautiful views from the outdoor seating this is a must for a Saturday or Sunday brunch. The Endless Selection Brunch menu showcased a variety of dishes. From classic favorites like chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits to new favorites like country ham fried rice. The staff was friendly, attentive and ensured that our overall experience was a memorable one by providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our satisfaction. I honestly cannot recommend Sequoia DC enough for a fantastic dining experience. If you are fortunate enough to go on a beautiful day make sure you sit outside to enjoy the views of the water. The menu changes per season right now they have a Summer Sangria that is a must try.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for weekend brunch. Went for the Saturday tapas brunch. It was pretty good, but the options were a little underwhelming. I’ve heard great things about their buffet on Sunday’s, but I have to say if you plan to come here for brunch, just skip Saturday. The food was coming out consistently and most of it was served fresh and warm (with the exception of the oysters and shrimp). The breakfast potatoes are too mushy and I was wishing they were a bit crispier. The brioche French toast was divine!! Probably the best dish on the menu. The brioche was perfectly caramelized. The rib sliders were good but not amazing. They did come out cold too. They had the champagne going too and were consistently refilling our glasses. I just wish the food had more flavor and there were better options.
The view of the river was excellent, the food and me u options were good. Although, the non-seafoood options are limited. Our server, Veronica, was great and friendly. She took the time to get to know our names and made some good recommendations.
Came for a relative's birthday celebration and the restaurant was laid out nice. I ordered the duck cooked medium and it was delicious and tender.
It also came with a cabbage roll that had a nice mixture of flavors as well.
Would go back and try a few more dishes!
