The screens were not allowing us to ask for a single shake Shack burger so the person behind the counter took our order and was so helpful and nice, great service! Then an employee offered to bus our table completely unprompted. I ordered the vegan burger and while I ordered it without cheese and it came with cheese we just took it off and it was delicious.

shake shack never fails to deliver. always a 5/5 wish you expanded more into Europe, need you in Sweden. Burgers like these would solve world peace.

The food tastes very good and is also served quickly. You definitely get what you expect. However, the prices for a fast-food restaurant are significantly too high. $20 for a burger, sandwich, and a drink is too expensive. At In-N-Out, you can get four burgers for that amount of money.

If you like good old fashioned hamburgers and shakes regardless of the price, then I’d say that Shake Shack on F Street should be one of your go-to places.
However, if you’re like me and you prefer to eat food that’s cheap and of good quality, then I’d probably go elsewhere. To be honest, $25 for a burger and shake is a lot of money. I wish that the restaurant served additional healthy side options like vegetables and freshly squeezed juices.
Otherwise, I don’t find it terrible. I just wish that it was more affordable.
At least they had good seating and service. I am happy that the leader of Geek Nite Out introduced Shake Shack on F Street to me. :)

The burger is quite satisfying, made in the classic old-fashioned style. I ordered a plain cheeseburger, and it was delicious without being overly messy—just the right balance. I paid a total of $18.45 for two plain cheeseburgers and a soft drink.

I have been there many times, the staff is very friendly, the restaurant is very clean and the food is so good!

While we were in Washington DC, we decided to check out Shake Shack. The burgers were really good, but they were a bit small. The fries were tasty too, and the shakes were absolutely delicious and perfectly thick. The staff was friendly, and they quickly cleaned up the tables and made sure we were happy with everything. Ordering through the kiosk was convenient and fast.
The only downside was that we had to wait around 20 minutes, but it's probably because they make the food fresh. Overall, we had a great experience, but the portions could have been bigger, and it was a bit pricey, which seems to be typical for downtown Washington DC.

Let's start with the cheeseburger. Shake Shack's classic cheeseburger is a masterpiece of simplicity and taste. The juicy, perfectly cooked Angus beef patty is nestled between two soft and slightly toasted potato buns. Topped with a slice of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and their signature Shack Sauce, each bite offers a symphony of flavors and textures. The combination of high-quality ingredients and the Shack Sauce's tangy, slightly sweet profile elevates this cheeseburger to new heights. It's a true representation of comfort food done right.
Complementing the cheeseburger, the chocolate milkshake at Shake Shack is a decadent delight that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Creamy, velvety, and rich, the milkshake is made from real chocolate, resulting in a flavor that is both intense and indulgent. Served in a classic Shake Shack cup with a thick straw, every sip is a luxurious experience. The balance of sweetness and chocolatey goodness is spot on, making it the perfect companion to the cheeseburger or a standalone treat.
The service at Shake Shack is efficient and friendly. The staff members are welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless ordering process and promptly delivering the food. The atmosphere is casual, with a lively vibe that adds to the overall experience. The dining area is clean, well-maintained, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Another aspect worth mentioning is Shake Shack's commitment to using high-quality ingredients and sustainable sourcing practices. Their dedication to providing responsibly raised beef and supporting local suppliers adds an extra layer of appreciation for their offerings.
While Shake Shack is popular and can get busy, especially during peak hours, the efficient ordering system and attentive staff help minimize wait times and ensure a smooth dining experience.

A solid 5 stars. This location really has their craft dialed in. They served a huge school field trip in front of me in a timely manner and then my food as well. The seating can get tight, but, they also have outdoor seating, and you’re not going to do much better for seating in a Shake Shack.

The staff were super friendly and not what you’d expect in a fast food place. The burger and fries were great but not the best I’ve ever had (see Gasoline Grill in Copenhagen if you get the chance). I even added the smoked applewood bacon. The chocolate shake (small size) was refreshing. I can see why it’s called shake shake and not burger shack. A decent, affordable option for lunch or dinner in downtown Washington.
