150% the best menu I've seen in awhile. The thing is - you will go here for pizza - but you will be missing out! The apps are to die for! We had beef tartare - yummy! Some kind of fresh mozzarella with squash, grapes, and nuts! Then, these mushroom balls - dear god - a little slice of heaven! The pizza is incredible! The service is outstanding! The atmosphere is cool, hipster, and chic give all at once. You won't regret this one!
I tried a large assortment of food here the other day and absolutely everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this place. Great food and great service.
Super tasty brunch menu that albeit is a bit on the pricey end. This restaurant serves a lot of pizzas which I didn’t get to try this time around since there were a lot of other delicious dishes served during brunch.
My friend and I ordered the breakfast sandwich, hash browns with prosciutto, and a soufflé egg with extra sausage. It was so filling that we ended up taking most things home.
Service was also really accommodating and explained things to us when we had questions. I’d love to come back again and try their pizza in the future!
Reservations are definitely recommended as this place was packed. Dinner (consisting of the warm olives, Caesar salad, eggplant Parmesan and the Tripper pizza) was wonderful. For dessert, the pumpkin cheesecake with the candied hazelnuts felt very seasonal and was a great cap to the meal.
This is a restaurant where delicious food AND amazing service are thriving. Don’t waste your time eating anywhere else, All Purpose will surely become your favorite spot.
We visited this restaurant on a Friday night shortly before closing. We were greeted and assisted as if we were the most important customers of the day! The attention to details and accommodations were unmatched and the fresh delicious pizza only minutes before closing was beyond amazing. We decided to return the very next day for Saturday Brunch!! The Brunch experience confirmed it for us, we now, absolutely love All Purpose. The restaurant was full and lively, but we were able to be immediately seated and served in no time.
I recommend any pizza and for an extra burst of flavor, request a side of hot honey or ranch. We devoured a pizza with sausage, pepperoni, caramelized onions and hot honey. We also enjoyed a Caesar salad that was done correctly and full of flavor. Fresh ingredients and flavor that melts in your mouth!
Tall purpose is absolutely amazing day or night! It is an experience you won’t forget. The entire team is delightful. Special thank you to Megan, Chelsea, the Chef and wait staff (Brandy)! We will be seeing you again!
great. thoughful flavors with good contrasts for pizzas. a bit of sweet, a bit of heat; they know flavor. The crust could stand alone as bread. It was that great supporting cast member that makes that lifts the entire performance.
The staff was efficient while retaining a welcoming spirit. I would hire them.
The beer was good.
I would go again and invite more people to join me.
Really delicious, authentic Italian restaurant and pizzeria. Welcoming and relaxed service from the moment we walked in and all the food was excellent from the arancini, to the salad and of course pizza. Vespa pizza was the standout for me, best mushroom pizza I’ve ever had.
Stopped today for a birthday brunch. We've never been here before so I checked out the menu online ahead of time and I made reservations ahead of time.... The menu is not 🚫 up to date. The bottomless options are limited to mimosas 🥂 and spritzers for 90mins. The pizza 🍕 was good. The blt + e was great on focaccia bread 🍞. The Nutella banana bread was tasty. The cold brew was more bitter than expected, just my opinion I like fru fru coffee so I added milk and sugar. The staff was great 👍 our server was so sweet and brought out a birthday doughnut 🍩 with a candle, how CUTE?! Overall a good spot for brunch, I was only slightly disappointed in the bottomless drink options in comparison to the online menu. It is also in a great walking area, head to the DC Alley Art Museum to explore.
I admittedly haven't been to all the pizza joints in DC but this is my favorite in the city. We had different types of pizza which tended to be on the spicy side but were all tasty. Get the cookie dessert if it's available. They had 4 different types of Negronis when we were there and I recommend any of them. Very friendly staff. Food took a while to come out but the wait is worth it.
Aaah! This place was a mood! We went during the happy hour. Great food, great place. Both the “Standard “ pizza and the mushroom onion pizza was so yum. The best part is the crust. And for apps we ordered the cauliflower. I don’t want to eat cauliflower in any other way now 😂
Believe the hype. All-Purpose Pizzeria served up one of the best pizzas I’ve had since moving to the area. Their dough was bubbly, with a crispy and airy crust, while the toppings were serviced on foldable, yet sturdy slice that was proofed well before being served bringing out wonderful air bubbles in the dough. I ordered the Randolph which included ingredients that wonderfully contrasted each other That brought everything to a crescendo of pizza enjoyment with every bite. I was everything I hope for in a pizza. I will definitely come back for another pie in the near future.
I walked past All-Purpose in Shaw a few times in recent weeks and finally had the chance to stop in on a Thursday evening. We arrived around 7:45 p.m. and there was about a 20-minute wait. It's a good-sized, wide-open space, so you can see the dining room, bar, and pizza kitchen all at once. We ordered the roasted garlic knots as an appetizer and the Buona pizza. It was all delicious (the garlic knots are a little pricey, but very tasty). I'm looking forward to going back and trying more items from the menu and bar.
