If you’re looking for not only great food but great hospitality, you’ve found the right place. Right from the first step in, the atmosphere overcomes you- it’s just classy - great for meeting friends, a date, or talking business. Staff is exceptionally trained, courteous, and well kept. Attention to detail is in the service and most importantly the flavors. The ingredients are sourced originally from local co-ops, offering seasonal choices. They ensure the freshest and highest quality items and you can so tell- every single bite is an explosion of flavor, never dulls down, just keeps rockin! Will definitely be returning, Bravo!
I had one of the best steaks of my life. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner out with friends or date.
When the manager greets you by opening the door and welcoming you in it's going to be amazing. Our server was new to Peacock but not a customer service novice. She was amazing and paid attention to the details. My steak and potatoes were both amazing. My medium well ribeye was perfection. The garlic potatoes were seasoned just right. I had the chocolate volcano dessert and I enjoyed it. I appreciated the extra touch celebrating my birthday. A wonderful dining experience.
Hands down the best brunch spot in town. Luckily our bar tender was also from LA so we had a lot to talk about and recommended some great dishes. Plenty of entertainment with sports available. A quick walk away from Georgetown cupcakes so plenty to enjoy!!
Wonderful surprise on a Friday evening. We were lucky to find a table outside on a gorgeous fall day. We went craving American food but ended up going Persian on pretty much every dish and we were so happy we did. We started with a delicious pistachio soup and fried calamari. Then we followed with some mahi, albaloo polo, and quaymeh. So tasty! From the kids menu we ordered the filet mignon with fries, also excellent. Everything was great but just keep in mind the food might take a bit on a busy night. Other than that, highly recommend this place.
I will say the service was really nice. BUT I was a little disappointed with this place. The food was not my favorite. We both got the All American. I want to try the pancakes, I'll say the maple syrup with bananas was okay. The chicken sausage we both thought needed some work with flavor. The potatoes were the best thing that we had on our plates.
Every course we tried was amazing and we could taste the quality of the food! I highly recommend the apple tart for dessert.
Amazing cocktails the mussels were some of the best we have ever had. Such a professional staff, and so kind. We'll be back!
A friend and I tried this lovely spot during Christmas shopping and it has become a go-to choice when in Georgetown. Great core menu as well as seasonal selections. I have t been disappointed yes.
There is a step down to the entrance so usually I get someone’s attention through the window and they lead me to the back entrance which is wheelchair accessible. I will flag that the aisles between tables are narrow so getting a spot outside or towards the back of the restaurant might be easier for larger wheelchairs/mobility aids. I have not used the restroom while here so I can’t speak to accessibility (or their existence).
The portion of the steak is relatively small, compared to these pile of fries. Also I don’t quite understand why they cut those fries so slim. Pretty difficult to pick up by fork.
I arrived at the Peacock Café early on a Sat morning, and there was just another couple and me. I took a seat, and after a couple of minutes, I thought of leaving because the atmosphere was not was I was looking for. But then, a couple of smiles from the waiters and more guests coming in made me staying and I didn't regret it! The food was VERY good: tasty and large portions! Coffee was delicious and the owner served me a free refill :) The waiters and the owner were very friendly and I ended up spending a couple of hours, reading a book, and enjoying a very nice brunch!
4 stars for the food, 5 for the service. Definitely worth stopping by, but knowing what to order. Tomato bisque is a great way to start. Seafood jambalaya was excellent. Swordfish special was good (off menu). Their other fish dishes were also good. Veggie burger good not great, salmon cake salad is too complicated to eat. Other salads seemed good. Service is always excellent. Almost always space during lunch. A touch overpriced with some good finds.
