I had a wonderful birthday dinner. I made the reservation 2 weeks before my birthday and on the night of the dinner, it was pouring down raining and getting there was a hassle. Thankfully, a few members of my party were already there and we were seated without issue. The food was amazing. A few people ordered the skillet Mac and cheese, the cheese pull was amazing. I ordered the bone in ribeye which was a perfect medium well. So tender and juicy, I could cut into it with a butter knife. The mashed potatoes were creamy and seasoned perfectly. The waitress brought out a beautiful ice cream and cake dessert covered with cherries and nuts. It was so tasty. I am very happy that I went here for my birthday. Good food with great people.

Had a great dinner at the smith! We started with drinks and I got their lychee gimlet which was delicious. We were a group of four and shared the black truffle Arancini for a starter which was also really good and came with 5. For my main dish I got the rigatoni alla vodka. It came with stracciatella cheese and topped with sesame seeds which seemed like an interesting garnish but was still good overall. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive too, and I love the vibe of the smith. Also be sure to try out their Photo Booth by the bathrooms. Super fun and a great way to end the night.

I like this place a lot. I had the squid ink shrimp pasta. It was amazing. Only 3 starts for service because our server was not the best. Seemed as if we were bothering her every time we needed something. Took her a long time to bring things and seemed as if she wasn't really attentive to our table. Other than that everyone loved their food dishes I think. My food was very fresh and tasted even better the next day. My Marti I was yummy. Their holiday decorations we nice as well

If food is to rates they can go to 6* out of 5. Amazing food , quality and taste. Only thing i can complain is the tight seating and portion size is less. But the taste triumphs over. Gnocchi made me feel like the ratatouille moment of happiness. Truffle Was just perfect. Drinks were nice too.

Very nice restaurant with a chill ambient. The portions were plenty and the burger really tasteful. I can definitely recommend coming here. The food is a little on the pricey side but still alright, it’s worth the money.

Mixed reviews with the food. We had potato chips with blue cheese 👍, tomato soup👎, branzino👍👍, Smith steak 👍, burger 👍👎. They were busy so not always easy to track down server and had to ask for things like more water, cream for coffee. Love the space, but didn't like my purse had to go on the floor, hooks on the tables maybe? Overall would go back but not a 5 this time.

Enjoy first meal at The Smith before a show at Shakespeare Theatre. Restaurant has a nice vibe & decors, bar area has a crisp, modern feel. The waitress was a little lacking in knowledge about the cocktail menu, and a little pushy to remove plates from our table. The chips w/blue cheese were awesome. Burgers were great. Spaghetti w/bolognese was good, a little light on the tomatoes. The truffle gnocchi was a little bland. Cocktails were very good.

I ordered the "Smith Egg Benedict." It consisted of two muffin breads with eggs, forest ham, and some sort of house sauce on it with a side of potatoes. The food was okay, not impressive! The place is clean and has a good atmosphere. The pricing is reasonable. The reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because the service wasn't great. The waiter wasn't very attentive, especially considering that I was the only customer besides another couple in the restaurant. The service was a bit slow. I would suggest the waiters and greeters to be more cheerful. I understand it's a job, but that's not an excuse. Additionally, it felt like everything took forever, from placing my order to getting my drink and even paying the bill. UPDATE: The management has personally reached out to me and kindly requested that I give their restaurant another try. I truly appreciate this gesture as it demonstrates their genuine concern for the feedback and satisfaction of their customers.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing brunch at The Smith in DC, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable culinary journey! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the perfect tone for a relaxed Saturday morning. What caught my attention right away was the brunch menu, offering a delightful array of options. After careful consideration, I decided to indulge in their brunch special and three mouthwatering Bloody Marys. And let me just say, it was worth every penny of the $69.85! The Bloody Marys were expertly crafted, each a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. The mix was perfectly balanced, providing just the right kick of spice and a refreshing burst of tomato goodness. The attention to detail in the garnishes was evident, adding a visually appealing touch to the drink. As for the brunch itself, I opted for one of their signature dishes, and it did not disappoint. The flavors danced on my palate, and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. The attentive staff ensured that my dining experience was top-notch, and I appreciated their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate my preferences. The ambiance of The Smith is noteworthy in itself. The combination of modern and rustic decor creates a cozy yet upscale atmosphere. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a meal with family, or simply treating yourself to a solo brunch, The Smith's environment caters to all occasions. While the cost might seem on the higher side, the quality and experience justify every cent. The total bill for the brunch and three Bloody Marys might sound steep, but the memories created and the culinary journey embarked upon are truly priceless. If you're looking for a brunch spot that seamlessly blends excellent food, a welcoming ambiance, and impeccable service, The Smith in DC is an absolute must-visit. I'm already planning my next trip back to explore more of their menu offerings and to relive the delightful Bloody Mary experience! Cheers to The Smith for an exceptional brunch adventure!

Had a great time getting right to a seat here. The service was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Enjoyed great food and drinks! Had the Lemon Drop drink pictured and loved it. Others in my party had pastas and loved it. I had the cauliflower tacos and they were wonderful. Our server was attentive and kept us hydrated. Would definitely go back!
