Felt comfortable dining alone. Food, service, and atmosphere was right. I tried the sardines (first time!!), which were surprisingly nice. Pizza was delicious. Cannolis and espresso were excellent.
If there has ever been a restaurant that exemplified The art of simplicity it’s 2 Amys. My wife discovered this restaurant through a list of popular spots and while it was off our beaten path I am so glad we went, and I am 💯 coming back.

I really appreciate the freshness of all the ingredients at 2 Amy's. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and what stood out to me was the exciting selection of anchovies, which is a rarity. I am from San Francisco and a good friend told me about this spot. It was packed but the staff welcomed us with open arms. A little wait but 20 minutes went by fast. We sat down..placed the order and less than 10 minutes, the pizzas arrived. It was amazing. Give it a try when you are in DC.

Delicious! Pizza is a bit too burnt for my taste, but that’s neapolitan style. Favourite thing was the porchetta — skin is crackling to perfection!
