Overall very excellent. The food is the main reason you go out to eat, and Founding Farmers has perfected the food. It is simply superb, with excellent textures and flavors and portion sizes and freshness. The drip coffee blend is phenomenal and truly packs a punch. Our server Liz was very nice and accommodating. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to have a way to scan a QR code for when you arrive at the restaurant and there is a line in order to hold your place in line for check in. Also, we did wait about 15 minutes for our server when we first got seated. We had 0830 reservations for 3 on a Sunday. We would definitely come again!

Restaurant quite large, and was full. Even with reservations. Food was outstanding generous portions, well prepared, reasonably priced. Service friendly. The crab dip, hot dog and corn bread were phenomenal, the chicken pot pie wasn’t our favorite. We had a lovely dinner, thank you!

We came here for lunch, and this place is fabulous. The environment is lively with good ambience. The food is great too. Would recommend this for first-timers to DC where you can get a great spread of American food

Customer service was awesome! The popcorn was great. There was a ton of it! The pot roast was absolutely amazing! The gravy for the pot roast had layers of flavor. I liked the ravioli, but I do think that it just needs the butternut squash not the browned praline butter too. It made it a little too sweet. The mac & cheese and chicken tenders were good. We loved the atmosphere. If we’re ever in DC again, we will definitely be back.

Solid 5 stars across the board. Server was great, small but varied beer selection. A friend said that the bloody Mary was delicious. Big menu and it was hard to narrow down but we started with the bread and spread sampler that didn't have a bad combo to it. For dinner we got the Prime Rib, French Dip, and Grilled cheese. They seemed to be able to make anything a side, or modify the dish anyway you wanted. Nothing I would have changed and would love to go back.

This is a great restaurant. The line was very long for this popular spot so we were looking forward to an enjoyable meal. Had food to go. Everything was made to order with high quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

visited for lunch! started with the fried green tomatoes, which i would rate 8/10. the goat cheese dip was so yummy! also had the bacon lollies, mt friend loved them but they were just okay to me! had the salmon and the thyme chicken! salmon was 10/10 due to the sweet and savory flavor combo. was not impressed by the cornbread but the mac n cheese was 7.5/10. it had a creamy, rich sauce that wasn’t too heavy. the chicken was alright and mashed potatoes were about a 6/10. the salmon was definitely the star of the show. i definitely recommend!

We had a lovely evening at Founding Farmers. We arrived about an hour early after attending a play at the Kennedy Center. We were happy to be able to be seated with no wait. We were pleased with our food and our server Dwayne was very knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad we came here for breakfast. They were quite busy and we didn't want to wait for a table so we sat at the bar. Liz, our server, was great. Right away, she took our drink orders. She checked on us often and refilled my coffee cup. We ordered the Brioche French toast with Bananas Foster and a waffle with blueberry compote. Both were very flavorful. They had other breakfast choices on the menu. Would definitely come back.
