The food here is great and very affordable the staff is really nice. The pasta is made fresh daily and all of the garnish is fresh. I really like how there is an actual basil and oregano plant at each table that you can pluck fresh leaves off to put into your food. When you leave they give you Haribo gummy bears which is a nice touch.

I tried chicken Alfredo pasta and I added some broccoli and mozzarella cheese and it was perfectly made as Exactly what I wished to get!!!! I feel bad for not asking the chef about his name to write it here as he was great at making my own pasta !!! Also, they have different types of homemade sauces and they are so great and delicious with the bread it was warm crispy outside soft warm inside, PERFECT !!!! Like extremely good!!! Especially the sauce with orange juice I guess “ I don’t know the name of that sauce “ but it’s so good like so good Overall, my experience here was extremely nice and this restaurant became my best Italian restaurant in DC !!!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

First time. Different type of restaurant than I expected. It is almost like Chipotle where you walk up to the cook and request what you want versus waiting for a server at the table. Delicious pasta! They also serve pizza and salad. Definitely visiting again. Another interesting thing is that they give you a card that you scan at the grill once you get your food. Thought it was neat way of keeping tabs. Friendly staff. Just a FYI, was told that this location is less busy compared to the one on M Street. Only thing I that I found unpleasant was the smell of the bathroom due to it maybe being by the kitchen/food storage area in the basement. (Not that it should take away anything from the restaurant) Maybe an air freshener will do. P.S. Sorry about the pics. Food looked so good that I started eating before I could take pictures! (hehe)

As soon as you enter china town gate u find it on the left with huge drapes hanging. U will b welcomed with a card for each with some funny names 😀 walk to your chef 👨‍🍳 customize anything the way u like and don't forget to eat it while its hot 😬 🍝. Its so fresh and tastes so good. Top it off with tiramisu cake infused with some liquor. #getyourpastafixhere

Very nice place! It's a chick location but with very reasonable prices, you can get a very good Italian Dinner for around 15$. I went several times and the Pasta and salad I had were delicious. The complimemtary warm slice bread is very tasty with the olive oil!

This place is bomb for some authentic Italian food. I usually come here before a Wizards game. Everything is cooked fresh. Pizza and pasta entrees average $10-15 with 2 slices of bread. This location is always kept very clean and the chefs are great at multitasking. They can easily be making 2 pastas while taking on 3 more orders. Don't expect a long wait and to spent a lot here. 1 pasta or entree dish will be enough. I always go for the risotto, any pizza, carbonara or any pasta with pesto. I don't like how they charge you 3-5 for extra meat, but it's really small portions. Also with the card system everyone is paying at the same time when they leave. So you've got the hostess greeting people, taking payment and sometimes orders it can be chaotic during dinner time. Wish there was a way to expedite the process. Try the spicy olive oil at your table if you like spice.

Nicely cooked handmade pasta and pizza. We got a fungi pizza with red onion. Mushrooms were very fresh and good. Pasta was well done. Could have been more warm. Too hungry and forgot to take the pic.

Modern take to on your classic Italian Restaurant. You wouldn't expect an Italian restaurant of this caliber to be in the heart of Chinatown. Discovered this place on a whim but was pleasantly surprised. Food is made fresh in front of you including the daily house made pasta. Definitely worth the visit.

This place is soooooo good! If you want a casual, chill spot to grab AMAZING Italian food, this is your place. It’s in the Chinatown part of DC, which is a bit odd considering it’s cuisine, but is incredible in every way. The staff is so helpful if you haven’t been before and want to know how the restaurant works (meaning, the hostess gives you a card and you stand to order and wait for your food, and the sit). My husband and I love a good food adventure, and many times, we go to order our food, describe the kind of flavor we’re hoping for, and ask for the cook to surprise us, and they ALWAYS have made a delicious dish that perfect matches the flavors we were hoping for! They’re also really good with handling allergies restrictions!

The place is nice and the service is good. You are watching all the cooking process of your order after being waiting in the line for several minutes. So it may not be a good option if you prefer to wait seated. The advantage of being with the chef is that you can a chat a little bit and customize your order on the way.
