Haven’t eaten anything from the Greenwood Inn for at least 20+ years. To be honest, I kinda forgot about them. In October, when my son suggested that my wife and I celebrate our 30th Anniversary there, I wasn’t able to remember good, bad or otherwise. Am I ever glad we did! I never order Baked Stuffed Shrimp from any restaurant at all, but took a chance. Best meal ever! Since then, my wife and I have returned 3 times.. Each time, I have ordered the Shrimp, and never dissapointed!
This place has earned our top choice in dining for sure. The wait staff is always on their game... (Have to point out the fact that most are “older” men, is very cool.. Shows that this is the place to have a career at and not focused on young pretty girls that have no clue)
As for the negative reviews...
I work with many small businesses.. anyone can have an off night, and in most cases it should be forgivable. But some folks can never be pleased.. Oh well, one less person in line for us to wait in..😂

Been here a few times. Great prices, service and food. Had the corned beef nachos & the corned beef potato and cabbage meal traditional meal tonight. Highly recommend for Traditional American & Family style lobster
I have been going to the Greenwood Inn for decades and am never disappointed. They offer several affordable menu selections in a casual atmosphere, either in the dining room, bar, or outdoor seating area. Great value and the food is fantastic! Perfect for lunch or dinner, with friends, family and clients. Five Stars! Although I would give more if I could!

My wife and best friend brought me home a Turkey Club after they sat in and dined. Unbelievable sandwich. It lead me to look at their web page the place looks amazing. We just moved here from Maine, and were looking for a good solid restaurant. This is a great establishment.
GREENWOOD INN has been a local staple for as long as I can recall. Prices are only marginally higher than you'd expect but the specialties are so damn good! Take a serious look at the appetizers ... small but worth every penny. We're talking spiritual experience with the stuffed (seafood) mushrooms! Slight warning: no fault of wait staff but in these COVID times, expect to wait for table service and try to enjoy your companion instead of stressing. Wait Staff are personable and just fun ... I know none of them but I'd suggest you'd be hard-pressed to find many others who perform with such grace-under-fire. Why only 4 stars? Because management needs to better balance staff around high volume hours. Recommended.
I am a truck driver and i love to try ma & pa restaurants. Excellent pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent service. The young waiter was spot on with everything and went extra mike to make me and my 3 young boys feel welcome. The food was excellent as well.
I had the Italian Platter. The sauce was perfect. Great tasting meatball and sausage! Roasted peppers on the side and spaghetti. I got the "smaller" version, and it was more than I could finish. Excellent service by our waiter, Sully. Will definitely go back next time we are in RI.
I haven't been to Greenwood Inn in years but, decided to stop here for lunch today. I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious, friendly service and prices are very reasonable! I'll be back!
Every single time I’m in your restaurant, I am always treated as if I’m family. Polite, kind, friendly and outgoing is how I would describe the staff every time I’m in there. Today I picked up my order at the bar, I was greeted by Meliss and she continued to update me on the status of my order. Meliss, I pray I have your name right, because you were absolutely phenomenal. Packaged my entire order with great care and brought it out to me (all the way around the bar to my side) with a nice smile. As I was leaving the woman working the front desk came right around and opened the door for me. I just wanted you folks to know, I appreciate the excellent customer service and the food is ALWAYS GOOD. Thank you!
Great food, good prices, excellent service. Made my 88 yo Mom feel very comfortable. We each had seafood.
